New EMSer has some problems :(

I'm from Europe but play on GMS but I decided to try out EMS so I downloaded it, and I can't say I'm satisfied... The first thing that happened was that I got a MyKeyDefence error :/ I checked some forums about it and fixed it. Then I got some connection problems and couldn't connect to the game server. I fixed that too, thank god. Everything worked perfectly fine, I enjoyed the no-lag-at-all world of EMS for about 15 min but when I advanced to Magician and tried to keybind my Energy Bolt the game froze. It went totally freeze on me. I tried alot of things but ended up with a pitch black screen. I rebooted and started EMS again. I pressed the key config button, same result. I've tried it like 4 times now and it's starting to piss me off I never had these problems on GMS. Soo... I don't know about continuing :| I mean, I can't play MS without keybindings, right? Other then all those problems, it was fun and felt different for some reason Peace.

I think you're misunderstading o-o I used to play EMS before and they were pretty far behind They seem to have caught up now though. My problem is that my game freezes when I try to use key config. :/ And that didn't happen while I played on GMS :o Anybody knows how to solve this mystery?

Are you using Windows 7 by any chance? Because I believe Windows 7 have a lot of bugs with Maplestory. Quoting Anttt from maplestory forum; "- Almost instant DC every time at zakum without fail, trying to look at your keyboard config will dc you , trying to take an ss will dc you, and looking at the party info will dc you, all without error message." I know you said use, not look at, but this is the closest case I can find that is similar to yours. You should go to the maplestory europe forums and share your issue, because we have some great mods there that are great with technical support.

Try binding/accessing it while in windowed mode (alt+enter) apparently that solves some disconnection issues.

I don't really disconnect though, my screen just freezes. And if I alt+tab and maximize again I can hear the bgm and sounds like jumpsounds... But the screen is still pitchblack.

Have you right clicked it, properties, run in compatibility for Vista and checked run as administrator? Makes it work for me on my W7.

[/quote] A character can't be bugged without nexon having made a HUGE system flaw, and in that case others should've reported it and thus being fixed. Not saying it would never be able to happen, but i highly doubt it's the case. And yea try what celesticbash suggests.

[/quote] I third this suggestion as an IT person who's enrolled on a BSc in Computer Science and been using computers for over 20 years (I remember DOS, WordPerfect, and Function Keys having a function fondly). Sorry if it sounds like I'm bragging but you kind of get sick of "ur a gurl wut do gurls now abowt compooters? lol" attitude that you can all too often meet. It was never funny not even the first time. P.S. I get the same sort of thing in games too. Sorry to pop some delusions (wait no I fricking ain't) but I'm not going to roll over and let you rip me off. Anyone who tries this will get some rather angry (four letter) words on their screen.

[/quote] Yeah, I've done this already, cause the game didn't work at all to begin with. Oh, and as I said, it works just fine when I play GMS. And no, it doesn't work if I make a new character either. Today, I clicked key config, the game froze as usual but when I alt+tabbed it didn't minimize, instead the key config came up :o I could use it as I wanted until I closed it and tried to re-open it. The game froze again, and this time I wasn't as lucky :/ I find this kinda weird. EDIT: Oh, and alt+ENTER doesn't work either ^^'
