New patch, log in twice?

I just clicked my desktop icon and it brought me to the maplestory site. I logged in there and hit start game. I downloaded the new patch and then had to log in the old way. I quit and then tried again and it had me log in both ways again. wth?

Just log in the program after you log in on the site. After you've done that, you will log in through just the site like normal.

wait the patch is done right? Then why does i cant connect to it when i click maple when i try to patch it?
