| Welcome to Johny2toes official Dual Blade guide Updates 3/2/2010: Guide created, builds added, information on everything altered during the night 3/3/2010: Updated AP Builds, and added to pros/cons. 3/11/2010 (morning): Full guide updates (more to come shortly) 3/11/2010 (evening): Second installment of updates, table of contents added, more info added, 4th job build changed Table of Contents Pros & Cons AP build Equipment & Mounts Extra info 1st job: Rogue 2nd job: Semi Dualer 3rd job: Dualer 4th job: Dual Master 5th job: Slasher 6th job: Dual Blade Pros and Cons Pros: -Fastest non-mage leveling class after 120. -Lots of fun skills, with plenty of mobbing skills. -Thorns stacks with SE -Higher HP then Bandits thanks to Blades HP boost. -Invincibility frames make it easy to avoid damage in a lot of situations. -Mirror Image (Identical to Shadow Partner but is 10% stronger) -One of the best mobility classes. Cons: -They have lower HP then other close range classes. -They do not get any skills to reduce damage (Bandits have Meso Guard) -They are a limited job, you will not be able to make one after the time period. -Needing Blades as well as a Dagger will make them costly, good weapons are normally 500mil, meaning you will need at least 1 billion just for your weapons to have very good damage. -Later skills require A LOT of MP, Sudden Raid requires 980 MP. Thorns requires 400 MP. Stack Effect requires 250 MP. -No Alchemy -Less avoid then NLs/Shads if Nimble Body isnt maxed. -Haste will not increase party members speed, only their jump (+23) AP Build Dual Blade are exactly the same as any other thief their base stat is LUK, and their secondary stats are DEX and STR. There are 4 different types of Dual Blade you can make, Normal Dex, STR/DEX, Dexless, and Low-Dex Normal Dex Dual Blader Quite self explanatory, Dex stays twice your level, rest into Luk. A level 20 Dual Blade will have 40 dex. A lv 50 would have 100. Pros -Can wear any thief equips / weapon at the required level range. -Your accuracy will be higher than a low-dex / dexless. -You'll be unique. Cons -Lower damage then the other 3 possible builds. -You'll probably be laughed at since doing normal stat builds is considered old school. Dexless Dual Blade With recent addition to KMST a dexless Dual Blade has become possible. Drawbacks being, dexless Blades come from Cash Items (You will need NX to do this) and are untradeable. These are part of a set, both being for lv 25 and lv 50. Pros -Highest damage possible till late 5th job. Cons -You will be stuck using Double Stab 5 lvs longer then every other build -Late 5th job and 6th job low dex DB will out damage you -limited equips you can wear. Low Dex Dual Blade Similar to a dexless 'cept this one actually adds dex. Most low-dex classes raise dex to about 30~60 depending on funding early on, then raise it even higher by around 4th job, where the Reverse Dagger and Blade become your best weapons (Both require 160 dex). Pros -Highest damag |

| I'm wondering if the storyline of dual bladers have something to do with the "limited time offer". Nonetheless, I'm going to make one and I'm stocking up on dagger items. Might even make a shadower before dual bladers come out. Some of you may think dual blades are going to ruin shadowers but; if you were a fairly funded shadower wouldn't you have an advantage if you made a dual blader? |

| @InfiniteFusion For one, depends on where you train. Second, maps will always run down to where there's 1 or 2 left, it'd be much easier to use Fatal Blow, even at MP3 this can happen. Slash Storm has one bad side though that it's not that great at ledges. So at WR, unless you the space to Slash Storm back and forth on the platform you're going to either be stuck with Fatal Blow or Triple Stab. @M1rTh A well funded Shadower would have an advantage with the dagger. However that'd only be half an advantage since a DB runs off 2 different attack ranges. Their Dagger range would be great. but their Blade range till some scrolling is done would be pretty horrible. |

| Confirm or don't confirm, but if dual blader is an adventurer class class, you won't be able to make the job advancement with unspent sp, which will make your own suggested build for 1st job lose. |

| They are an adventurer class, however the SP from Rogue to Semi Dualer is carried over. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UesU3mHMHk8 Watch this vid of the job advance from Rogue to Semi Dualer, she carries over SP from Rogue. This is the only job advance however that it does carry over with. You can't carry over Semi Dualer to Dualer, or Dualer to Dual Master. |

Most good training areas almost always have good spawn. 2. Maps rarely only have 1 or 2 left. If that does happen, just use Triple Stab. Triple Stab outdamages Fatal blow on 2 monsters or more. 3. As for being stuck with Fatal Blow or Triple Stab, Triple Stab (which should have been maxed at level 20) can be used for killing WR. WR usually has high spawn so why would you use Fatal Blow at all? As a result, Fatal Blow seems like a useless skill that is a waste of SP. |

| Spadow says that we can an item that replaces Nimble Body so your Nimble Body build is pretty much a waste |

| Not really. It's true you get a belt that gives +20 Avoid and Accuracy. However, with Nimble Body, that's +40 Avoid and accuracy, giving you higher avoid then what a NL/Shad has, and with our low HP that becomes pretty helpful. Even if I did follow the standard build, it has you max Endure later on, I would even swap Nimble Body for Endure. Even with the belt... it's kinda pointless to use it... Compare a +20 Avoid / Acc belt to a Immortal Pharaoh Belt... Even clean the Pharaoh belt is better. Nimble Body is useful either way. Let's assume the DB was brought on a Pink Bean run however, I would rather have that +40 Avoid then just 20 from belt. |

Which is also DB's biggest problem. Especially when going on PB runs. I believe bean hits like 20k+ damage? Have fun getting 12.5k base HP needed to survive before saying something about Bean. |

| Every class has to HP wash alot to PB.. Compared to the amount of a Bowman has to, I'll take my DB's hp rate. |

| THats a GOod Guide bro Appreciate it btw i was lookng at the pro's and the cons i think these could be added telle me wut u think Pros: - Mirror image(60%) -Final Cut (4th job skill) was given a cooldown of 100 seconds. THis skill doubles ur atk for 60 secs THere dmg will double 60% of the time COns: - NO alchemy - Lesser Avvoidability than other THeif classes Because of no shadow shifter there avvoidability will be less than a NL's and a shadower Ty for Makin the guide Very helpful and imformative |

Max Thorns gives 35% crit rate with 250% crit damage. So overall it looks like your damage will be lower. Maybe raising both would work out though, if you did a 2 / 1 ratio each lv. When you max Thorns out you'd have 35% 250% damage crit and 490% Sudden Raid. I think raising them both at once is the best option if you want Thorns before Sudden Raid. |
