Defensless Job?

Why does it Seem Bowmans are the most Defensless Job in Maplestory help me out?

My Characters: link1240 - 102 Scania Ranger

We are defenseless but we have such good skills to counter that. We got puppet which redirects dangerous attacks elsewhere. MM have frostprey and blizzard which make seemingly impossible monsters useless for a few seconds. BM have hurricane which KB's monsters so fast they can't do squat. We actually aren't defenseless lol

Defenseless? We have Puppet, Arrow Bomb/Blizzard, Hawk/Eagle, Power Knock Back, Dragon Breath, Frost Prey, and Mortal Blow. If that is defenseless then I am wondering what wouldn't be.

Really? I thought we were the most defensive job. We even have the defensive set, puppet, hawk/eagle, frostprey, Poower KNock back, dragons breath, MB, blizzard, arrow bomb, even AE and AR for close range.

don't forget Blind and hamstring (yeah, they're late 4th job and probably useless, but hey, they're there) Sniper/Marksman can just spam Blizzard at freezable mobs like Skeles or Oblivion Guardians and never get hit.It'll take forever to kill if you just spam that skill, but you're pretty darn invincible.

I don't know about bowmans but I do know bowmen can certainly be defensive.

... exactly how did you make it to 102? Archer's main fault is HP, which can be limited with HP equips (Bosshunter anyone?), the so-called "Blood Build" and HP washing. Puppet can keep us safe completely when we solo. Arrow Bomb as well as Hawk/Eagle stuns Frost Prey makes'em hold still PKB makes up for bow whacks. Dragon Breath is a guarunteed knockback, Mortal Blow at a high enough level is a reliable defense Thrust adds passive speed, coupled with a Speed Pill and Speed equips and we are practically on haste the entire time. Our Defense requires thought. Others have it easier yes, but hey, you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Archers aren't about defence, they're about avoiding enemy damage. Redirecting (puppet) stun/slow (arrow bomb, frostprey, blizzard, hamstring, hawk/eagle, etc.) Pushing monsters back (dragon breath, PKB). They have no skill that raises defence or reduces damage taken or something, they do, however, have skills that help them avoid taking damage.

avoiding damage IS defense.
