Does Maple require skill?

So the other day I went on the computer to play MS for a bit. My brother came in and said that maple is lame and requires no skill. I thought about it, and realized that he's kinda right (about the skill thing, not the lameness.) To get to a high level, all really need is determination and a lot of free time. A bit of coordination is needed too, to keep and eye on hp, mp, damage, number of pots left, where the monsters are and other stuff, but that's about it. So, what do you think? Does Maple require skill?

to an extent it takes skill like if a nightlord goes and kills a bigfoot without dieing it takes some skill and other big bosses but grinding takes almost no skill whatsoever button mashing ftw?
