i know everyone talks about single target dpm (1-corsair, 2-nl, 3-bm, etc) but how about general damage per second? i know its like asking for a list of best to worst mobbing moves, but say you were to compare a NL's spm vs a bishop's multi hit genesis. you'd have to consider how many monsters are getting hit by the mobbing attacks, while considering both speeds. its similar to asking which class trains fastest, but nobody seems to care about a general dpm tier list, just single target, cuz of bossing. and i dont know if a list like this exists, if there is one, please direct me to it. anyone have an idea of what the list is like?
Erick2Cold4U : DPH = damage per hour?
DPH = damage per hit DPM/DPS = damage over time @last page post: well, it is common knowledge Corsairs>SE'd NLs>BMs=MM's>SE-less NL's (at least for ranged classes), but i've never seen a mobbing DPS chart o_o i'd like to see one tho
Starbomba : DPH = damage per hit DPM/DPS = damage over time
oh. then 70k is not that high if its damage per hit.
Starbomba : this applies mainly to 1vs1, not mob DPM. it can be applied too, especialy for classes that don't have strong mobbing skills, but MMs sure don't use strafe+snipe to mob, nor Sairs use RF/cannon, nor NL's use TT, lol the TS is asking for Mobbing classes/skills DPM @above: well, it' strue shads got the strongest 3rd job mob skill (ME), but i doubt BS does much, as it only hits 4 monsters, even if it is 450% at max i'm not a know-it-all about shads tho, so i might not know what i'm talking, lol
500%* And it's speed makes for quite the training ..

Paladins are at skelegons, especially after the balance patch, they will win by FAR.
iSpiffster : 500%* And it's speed makes for quite the training ..
oh well, it's true. it's quite a high damage % for a spammable skill (ultimates high MP consumption, aran's combo count and MM's pierce chargeup timers are the downfalls of powerful mob skills) but yea, other than that, i see too little shads around to know it, sorry if i offended you, lol
Erick2Cold4U : oh. then 70k is not that high if its damage per hit.
first, it's not even maxed (i'm missing like 150%). second, i'm missing one monster to hit, which raises the multiplier by 1.2 (thus i'd hit 80k's or more to the 6th monster). third. i'm lvl 136, lol. i'm hitting what a bish friend of mine was hitting at 150 with maxed gen @below: i'd have to agree, partly. but i'd assume it'd be harder to do a mob DPM chart due to all the factors i mentioned above (not spammable skills due to different reasons), and the mobbing classes aren't as popular (well, except bishops)

i'm honestly surprised no one has thoroughly thought this out or proposed it. suggestions are all over the place (arans after mages, mm after mages,..) ppl must think bossing is everything o_____O
sxypray : consider perfect situations, like how single target dpm is considered
then arans win if they have a mob of 12 then in they can achieve 200 combos within 6~8 seconds and tempest not much more to do after that Pierce has the Highest Potential damage in 1 shot but little to no marksmans can pull off hitting 200k-1 on the first hit but now that i think about in a perfect situation paladins should be consider since they can 2 hit mobs every 20 seconds as soon as level 133

You would have killed the mob by then, and if you haven't, then acb is better. Besides, everyone trains at Skeles, and TT has a bit more spread out mobs. If you can find a mob of 12 in skeles, like mp3, then please do tell me.
groundonrage : he said a *perfect situation*
A perfect situation? Well, do 6 monsters please, because doing 12 would be biased towards arans, and many more jobs hit 6 monsters at once.
sxypray : consider perfect situations, like how single target dpm is considered
on a perfect situation, i would be hitting an average of 130k x 15 x 43 casts per minute = 83.85M damage at lv167
