| Hey all, so my current project is a luckless BW. I need some help with equis though. I like to plan ahead so I would like to buy most of my equips now. I'm thinking about getting the following, and would like to know the price of these items: 15 int sauna 5/10 or 7/13 earrings 75 matk+ 7 int+ maple llama staff 4/4 or 5/5 glove 8-10 int old raggedy, and at 42 8-10 int Icarus 2 Are these equips fine? I have 350 mil mesos right now, and maybe 50 mil to sell? Also 18k nx to buy from mts if necessary. Would that be enough? Btw I'm in scania. Thanks in advance! |

| With that 18k nx it's better to just get a starlight with 20+ int (I got my ice AM a female moonlight 24 int for only 10k nx and female mage gear are more expensive). At lv 120 you'd end up with zhelm/htp (or at least aim for it) so you'd have enough luk to wear it. If you get it early on and can't equip it, it's not too expensive to make a luk shield and you should be able to equip it with that and other general all stat boosting equips like the aran ring, dojo belt, and dep star (pre-htp, lv 120-). Later on when you get htp, you can replace the luk shield for an int/magic shield. Most importantly, you need (if you can afford it) an ele wand 1 or 2, ele wand 1 is the best choice but 2 suffices if you can't afford an ele wand 1. You want to focus on the equips that will tend to give you the greatest int boost for your money's worth, and you also want to save money too. Your main focus should be: -ele wand 1 or 2 (the price has dropped tremendously so hurry) -ZH/HTP (BWs level fast so expect to get to 120 soon) -overall (try getting a high int starlight, better for your money's worth) -cape- at least 10+ int Once you have all of the above you should start focusing on the others since these are the most necessary and/or obtainable at a cheap price. It's what I did with my blaze wizard. |

An int sauna is garbage compared to a makered lv 48 overall with 30+ int (with an ht pend/ zhelm/ 4 base luk/ belt/ lilin ring, you'll have enough luk even if lukless to equip a 48 one). Also, grab an ele wand one while its cheap; once evans come out ele wands 1 and 5 are going to drastically inflate D=. |

It was like 45k nx, but my friend bought it for me and sold me it at a 1k:10mill ratio. 6/150 u/h too =] On a side note, what's with all these blaze wiz threads popping up all of a sudden? |
Ah nice deal =D. Yea, I checked mts and there was one 152 one with 5 or so int for 90kish nx D=. I'm guessing that a lot of people are making bw threads though beacause a lot of people might make them for the pitch event since they tend to lv pretty fast =O |

It will suffice for even up to 64. Some people will advise you to switch to a shine wand at 64 but If you're low on funds just sticking with the noc staff will work till 70. |

Last ten levels are too easy that you can kill your potions using Meteor Shower or being more conservative with Flame Gear, either way you will still be training fast. Better to aim for a level 35 staff, and a level 64 weapon. After that focus on HP gear like HP gloves and a cape since you will be using Flame Gear soon after and having more HP will benefit you much, much, more than having a higher magic attack which you will not use since Flame Gear is based on monster HP and the skills level. |
Well, with mg, hp will be the least of your concerns... At skeles, you need a certain amount of int to be able to hit them even if they have 1 hp. Also, I was assuming that the person making the bw would still resume playing their bw even after 120 and use it as either a leech mule/ pot hunting mule. An ele wand 1 is EXTREMELY ESSENTIAL to his ultimate; it adds 125% more damage which can enable him to possibley one hit jesters/ gallos at 120. |
Except with higher HP you can use more money saving potions and die less since your HP will be going down at the rate of your MP. I also don't see why people still train Blaze Wizards at Skeles, there are Crimson Guardians, they are fast to Flame Gear, they give more experience. Also that is IF they will use it for leech, other wise an elemental wand is completely optional, and for PoT it would be better to Flame Gear, my friend uses Poison Mist rather than Meteor Shower since Oblivions have a higher drop rate than Qualms, and you have to consider the cost of potions for spamming ults and the amount of monsters he can hit at a time with it. Edit: Notice I said magic attack as well, not intelligence, because what I am aware of a higher magic attack does not mean a higher chance to hit a monster, which is based on intelligence. |
Actually, with mist/gear training it's better to have more speed as it helps you dodge/tele around the peak monsters and avoid damage. HP is nice but most mages can already tank a hit or two from them thanks to magic guard. Also, I didn't mention speed gear because it's a given, and they're easily obtainable, bathrobes, red whips (it might not let you use fire strike though I think), speed shoes, ic2 clean or scrolled, and etc. In either case, it's better to spend major money on int equips and speed equips since speed equips>hp equips and are cheaper too. @above: CGs have a nasty tendency to lock, which is incredibly inconvenient. You'll waste pot slots by bringing all cures just to train there, and they have horrible touch damage and are harder to tele around and avoid damage. The first time I went there I died so much and just gave up. |
