Questions for Boss Runners

Do you guys get paid for going on the boss runs? Or do you benefit from it at all besides getting EXP? I'm asking because I'm aiming for 120, (no idea when I'll get it), and I'd like to begin bossing ASAP. No idea who I'll look to go with, but since I'm a fail merchant, I'd like to get a "Maple job" as soon as I could lol. So anyone have an answer?

Sometimes you get profit, and sometimes you just go for exp. As a shadower, things were different. People didn't like taking shadowers to boss run, and its not because they are bad and they aren't either. But its because they can take NL instead, who deals more damage then us Shadowers. Another thing that help them a lot is Alchemist. But if you're running with a guild, you could possibly get profit :P Early Grats on 120 :P And On Shadowerr :P.

Depends. I go to a zakum squad that runs twice a week for non profit purposes. Helming people's alternative characters and newcomes to the squad etc. So no profit from those runs to me. But if I go with my guildmates, it's usually just 3-4 people and out of those people a few will loot a helm ( whoever can ) and then sell it in shop fetching decent splits. Mostly I zak for exp though. HT Squads I have no experience from for now, but I'm guessing the split rules still apply. Survive->get splits.

Depends on whether someone is buying the run, such as for a Zhelm or something. People typically get payed, or the money goes to a guild merchant character.

I think you get paid if you're the leader and you usually get the drops too (anyone gets the drops) so i think you get xp and drops

The run leader desides a set meso ammount and distributes that way. They could make 2b and only give 20m to each runner, but generally its 30-60m each run. Its after 1/2 HT is dead that you count for pay.

Well, people usually make mesos/get paid at zak anyway unless you're only doing the arms which is for exp.

[/quote] I know there are some guilds that wouldn't mind accepting a shadower in Windia for boss runs. But either way, I wasn't planning on bossing for pay until around level 130+
