There is no better, they are lukless and boost certain elements by 25% and 10%, but they can also nerf them. Search up elemental wand, and you'll find a thread where someone posts the exact elements to their wand number.
I thought a mage would have known this =/ (no offense) the best and most popular are... Elewand 1, 3, 5, 7 as well as EleStaff 5 and 7 the wands require no luk, and 1, 3, 5, 7 are the main stats (1/5 = fire) (3/7 = Ice) EleStaves require luk but have nice M.att as well (5 and 7 are the fire/ice staves and they have the best M.att) Ele 1/5 = +25% dmg to fire, +10% to poison Ele 2/6 = opposite (25-poison, 10-fire) Ele 3/7 = 25% to ice, 10% to lightning Ele 4/8 = opposite. but don't get my post wrong, all ele weps are wanted, but mainly fire, poison, and ice.

And to be exact, he never asked about ele staffs, just ele wands.

All of them are expensive, all of them are popular. If you see a clean one under 100m its a steal.

people tend to go for ele wand 3/7 if they're i/l mages, though ele wand 8 is useful with chain lightning 1/4 if they're f/p mages

If you can't afford ele wands 1 3 5 or 7, the other ones are a good cheap alternative. idk about 4 6 8 but ele wand 2 is pretty cheap =/
lunarpocky : which of the elemental wands are the "better" ones, expensive and popular?
This is a very open question with no proper answer. A proper answer would depends on the following: 1. Class - I/l or F/p? 2. Level - lvl 70-129 or lvl 130+? 3. Skill - I/ or F/p? Ultimates or other attacks? Each E.Wand can be the better and/or popular depending on different situations. For a lvl 70 I/l, at MP3, using Thunderbolt, E.Wand 4 would be the best. For a Lvl 80 F/p, using Poison Mist, all the lvl 70 E.Wands are the best since none of them would affect Misting's exp rate. For a lvl 90 I/l, using Ice Strike, E.Wand 3 would be the better. For a lvl 129 F/p, using Metoer, E.Wand 1 would be the better. For a lvl 130 I/l, using Blizzard, E.Wand 7 would be the better. For a lvl 145 F/p, using Paralyze, E.Wand 6 would be the better. For a lvl 85 I/l, for training, E.Wand 3 is most popular. For a lvl 105 F/p, for training, No E.Wand is most popular. For a lvl 110 I/l, using Thunder Spear for bossing, E.Wand 4 is most popular. For a lvl 135 I/, using Blizzard, E.Wand 7 is most popular. For a lvl 150, using Paralyze, E.Wand 6 is most popular. Usually, the best and most popular are the same. There are many situations where the best and popular differ. -Popular also can differ in meaning so there may be two differ E.Wands under the same situation. Expensive also varies but need to account for less situations. The non-corresponding E.Wands would be the most expensive since they would give a 25% damage reduction to all your elemental attacks. Then, the expensiveness depends on level and type of E.Wand. General cost for E.Wands is as follows: E.Wand 5> E.Wand 7> E.Wand 1> E.Wand 8> E.Wand 6> E.Wand 3> E.Wand 4> E.Wand 2. All E.Wands are expensive for Mist training. Better, expensive, and popular varies based on situation.
