I truthfully go out of my way to befriend the "ghetto kids" in my school - I'm steering away from my own kind. I was in class the other day when some random person asked me for a pencil. Naturally, I looked through my possessions and found two extra. I handed this pencil to them with a smile on my face. They never once said thank you... And I never got my pencil back... I live in a fairly rich community - and everything is fine. I was in class another day when another person from my community asked me for a pencil. I gave one to them, as I had just refreshed my strategic stock of pencils over the weekend. I never got that pencil back, either. Nor did I get a thank you, or any gratitude at all! My patience is waning. On Friday, one of the "ghetto" kids of sorts asked me for a pencil in Spanish, them knowing that I'm practicing. They said thank you and I got it back at the end of class. (My school is divided into 3 parts - my community, one nearby, and another; my community being known as the rich kids). I have found that most of the people that arise from my upper-class community are entirely ungrateful. Them having everything they want do not care to thank anyone for the small deeds they give. While, the ones that don't have much, know that every act of kindness counts. It's quite... Disappointing.

i remember one time in health i lent my only pencil to a "ghetto" girl because she only needed it for a second and im like sure. when we have to write down notes i say i need my pencil back and she said "aight one more second". im not trying to be racist but thats what she said. it was starting to piss me off because it was pretty far in the lesson and i needed to write down stuff. but, oh no if you grab the pencil from her hand theyll call you a racist and pull the race card

When you say "ghetto kids" do you mean the white boys that constantly say: dawg, yo, and many vulgar words? As well as trying to look and talk like them ?

Yah, this girl who used to live in a trailer in my class was pretty polite and nice. She went around and complimented people for some reason.

Omg! This is the same with me. I lend a pen/pencil to someone and never get it back. At least they thank me for it though.
