| the aran is my first warrior type character so im completely new to this its great that warrior equip only requires str but im wondering why people go dexless and then put points into dex through eq? why not just put points into dex directly and save all that cash? my aran right now is lv 20 with 10 dex. i only have 15 mill so im not rich but i want to make a low dex aran |

| Dexless = leave dex at start. You need dex equips to compensate for the fact that you pretty much have no dex. Plus it will increase your accuracy by a lot, but it is expensive. Just make a normal one (: Some people just want to hit high and show off. Normal people have cool clothing (: |

| but why not just put points into dex if you are going to get equipment from the dex you then use that equipment and get strength |

| I think DEX scrolled equips give more benefits than STR scrolled equips. EDIT: DEX scrolled equips are sometimes cheaper and always easier to find than STR. |

|
iman24th : but why not just put points into dex if you are going to get equipment from the dex you then use that equipment and get strength
reason 1: because str is the att portion of warrior's multiplier. if u have less dex, u can have more str. reason 2 (flows from reason 1): because it is easier to find dex equips, they give dex and acc (which is why u need dex), and they're WAAAAAAY cheaper. reason 3: dex gives .8 acc. luk gives .5 acc. if u have a dexless warrior with no dex/acc equips, his acc will be 5. you need at least 70 by lv 50 or so, and you need 120+ endgame. make sense? hope i helped. <3 |

| A Warrior need enough Accuracy to actually hit, and Accuracy can come from 3 sources, DEX, LUK and of course Acc stats. However, the amount of Accuracy needed to hit is not constant all the time, as you level grows closer to the higher mobs' level, the Acc needed is reduced. Putting AP into DEX = permanent setup, while DEX equips = flexible setup. Besides, there is plenty of equips that gives Acc, and Accuracy is what you want ultimately, not DEX. Bear in mind some equips such as Taru Cape, Crimson Arcglaive and Stonetooth Sword have DEX requirement by default.. Even a standard Zakum Helmet gives 39.5 Acc in total (15 DEX + 15 LUK + 20 Acc). Conclusion, Warrior need Acc ultimately, not DEX, although DEX helps with Acc (1 DEX = 0.8 Acc). |

| Putting points into STR and buying DEX equips > Putting points into DEX and buying STR equips. Anything else? |

| Well you can either go normal DEX and buy STR equips but there are far more acc and DEX equips then there are STR equips So if u wanna hit highest usually you will go dexless or low dex |

If you don't know already its a buff that increases your base stats by a certain percentage. Only your base str is considered. Higer base= higher increase in stats |

| If you have the money, going dexless and buying dex gear is the idle choice. Not only do dex gear give you dex, but also acc. For example, 23-25 dex warrior overall would give extra 10-11 acc. Which technically translates to 38-40 dex overall. And dex gears are actually cheaper than str gears and a lot easier to find. :x |

| It's because of this: People like damage, so Mapler found out that more STR = More damage, so Mapler decided "Hey, you know what? Dex seems to be obsolete so I will put all my points into STR so I get lots of damage!" Mapler did this and went to go train on a monster 10 levels higher than him, he attacks and misses. Mapler expected this because the monster was a lot of lvls higher than he was. Mapler attacked again, missed. Then again, and again, and so on and so forth. Mapler opened up his equip inv. and looked at all his awesome, pwnsome items. He wonders why he keeps on missing. He opens his Stats and looks at his Acc.. Even with Booster, Mapler only had a pitiful 22 Acc., so he rolled over his mouse to read the Acc. description and learned that Maplers needed DEX or LUK for Acc! *gasp* In short, people go dexless and buy dex items so they can hit stuff. Now this requires a lot of funding but it works out nicely in the end. |
