I unfortunally have asian parents. My dad doesn't let me play maplestory but instead lets me go on basilmarket until I get into harvard and im a highschool freshman. I can't play for for a decent 15 min without him barging in the room and giving me a nice slap in the face. I hardly get to do anything fun and he thinks that playing maplestory/games would screw up my education while he sits in his room watching asian drama. Why are they so dam unfair and strict basilers?

My parents are Asian but they don't do the typical Asian stuff like that to me ._. They let me stay out until whenever I want with friends, don't mind my marks, blahblah. While my white friend has "Asian" parents. His parents kill him if he doesn't get over 95 in a test :D

Thats probably because you don't do your homework, get bad grades, and back talk to them. My parents don't do that because I'm a good boy. I do everything else, then games. AND you're not going to die if you don't play MS.

Maybe because Maplestory and video games CAN and probably WILL put a damper on your grades. You only have one life, don't live it Maplestory.

But my parents "want" me to always get a 95+ on a test. They don't yell at me or anything but I just try to get 95+ to make them happy.

my parent's asian too, most of the time they would let me do w/e i want because i got grades like 90+, (wouldnt accept 89- -_-) and if i even slipped my grade down to a merely 89 they would get mad and take my laptop away.. its like as if most asian parents have a expectation that exceed what you can accomplish sometimes.
