Thoughts on Toyota

I'm pretty curious to find out what Basli thinks about Toyota. Currently, Toyota is in a big craphole with the recall of over 8 million vehicles, and they're bad press image with the recent quote of the main US Toyota executive saying, "We're sorry for the problems." But, Toyota has been a quality branded car. For me, I think it's that push+stop button. Some drivers did not know that you have to push it down for 3 seconds to fully shut down, which led to out of control accidents. There is also random acceleration problems which have been reported, and I don't know why. My friend drives a 2007 Toyota Sienna and still continues to like Toyota as a company because their cars are pretty nice. Especially with the new 2011 Sienna (All-New Redisigned) http://www.autoweek.com/storyimage/CW/20091202/LOSANGELES/912029989/2011-Toyota-Sienna.jpg But what are your thoughts, forumers (if that's a word) on Toyota? Toyota just has a bad rep right now because of the recall. They are not the first company to have a recall.

Ehh Never really liked Toyota Had some nice concepts, but their production cars are all..."bland"...IMO. I prefer Honda (though...they're getting all crappy IMO now too)

Dispite the recall. [/quote] OK this recall is one of the biggest in car history and also the slowest to be responded to. How is the death of people reliable? More like reliable to get you killed. Now they say that fixing it may not be plausible.
