Automated IP ban system in the wrong

Nexon can't ban one particular IP address for having more than 1 Nexon account attached to it. Simply because what if you lived with a family of say 4 other siblings that all played MapleStory? Are they going to ban 4 different people from 1 IP address? Exactly, they can't make the assumption that all 4 accounts belong to 1 person. It is possible that they could check out all 2 - X amount of accounts used on a particular IP address and check to see if the user credentials match up between all those accounts, however not very likely. As the system almost appears to be an auto IP blocking system, as it happens almost instantly upon changing passwords of the 4th, 5th or 6th mule account, it has to be some sort of automated system in place. If a person were to do this manually they'd have to do the routine check, correlating the user's first and last name and what not to see if the same person 'owns' all those accounts which could take several hours, meaning the IP ban would not be instant. Also because Nexon generally speaking has a lot of 'stuff' to clean up after patching the game, it leads me to believe that their staff are already tied down with issues relating to resolving glitches, bugs, ticket replying (LOL maybe not...) etc. from the patch. Therefore it is a wrong IP address blocking. All that a user can do is send a ticket through other means; Facebook, Twitter or through another account and sit tight and wait for Nexon to resolve the issue. Edit: I have not currently been IP banned by attempting to change pw's on any of my accounts. The reason to creating this thread was to shed some common sense onto the issue that apparently quite a few basilers out there are having, according to the several threads out there about the IP banning. Some of which were wondering if it was actually their fault for having multiple accounts, that they received the IP ban.

I logged onto all 7 of my accounts, none of them banned, all on the same IP. So don't blame it on having more than 2 accounts on the same IP.

However the point is that it's their bad and somewhere in their coding they *insert swear word*ed up. I'm sure that they've been made aware of this issue by now and are on their way to finding a solution as we spea-.... type.

Sure we have less jerks online now, however we also have less nice people.... leaving the percentage of Nice:Jerk people approximately the same.... '=/ Edit: @ above no actually I have not been IP banned on any of my accounts nor would I be considered a 'kid' by account of my current age, you should use less assumptions in the future =P. I was simply trying to point out that it was Nexon's wrong and they should be on their way to fixing it now. Why a user like yourself has to make this into an issue like this. I really do pity you.
