What grade did you learn algebra 1?

I just found out that the sixth graders next year will be able to take a new test, and if they pass they will be able to skip both the normal 6 and 7th grade book and go straight to pre-algebra, so they learn pre algebra in grade 6,which I found unfair because up until then, you were only allowed to skip the 6th grade book So what grade did you learn algebra one? I learned it in 8th Dang, feel so behind >:l

7th. Should have done it in 6th. Pre-Algebra was a waste of time. Edit: Currently in Differential Equations (No, that's no Calculus).
