ok. i am going out with a girl named ashley and i am her first boyfriend ever. im in 8th grade and so is she. i am having trouble getting closer to her because this is all new to her and she doesnt want us to be affectionate in front of friends, school, etc. ashley is very outgoing and she plays volleyball and she made varsity last year o_O she is beast for ive heard. she has friends and 90% of her friends r my friends. at lunch she sits by her friends so i cant move in the table with her because i dont want to kick her or our friend out of the table all because of me. i REALLY WANT to take her out someplace but i just dont know where. i dated other girls but it was easier to unravel than ashley. basil, help me out and tell me what i should do so we can get closer. please be mature and dont mention anything about sex and drugs and stuff like that. i am thinking about the 3 things below and if i should do. if there is anything else i should do, please tell me what and why. any other helpfull advices are great.

Movies suck for first dates because you don't really get to know the person. Food and a walk is what I would suggest.

Chill at the mall/sporting event, and maybe she isn't a big fan of public displays of affection, I know I'm not. Also, you don't always have to sit beside her, you could sit beside one of her/your friends at the same table.

Beat thing to do!: get with another friend couple and go onto a double date to dinner then another activitity like the movies, walk, ect. Reasons: - when your with another couple it seems less stressful and embarising - you will have a guy friend to have support (vise versa) - you can have better conversation with the more people making it less acward. (butchered that word -_-) - more fun? (my option) that for me would be the best way to go :]

take her somewhere cliche, better yet, a sushi bar. bring a thesaurus and talk in a leisurely british accent even if you don't make it with her, your leisurely british accent will attract you other mates unless you haven't broken low C with your voice yet, then everybody hates you and you should feel ashamed for even thinking in that voice
