Paying to play?

Yeah, complaining about how much Nexon fails is free, but the question here is: If MapleStory were a Pay to Play , would you play it? For instance... if you had to pay 10~15 dollars a month in order to play MapleStory, but with 0 lag, 24/7 support from GMs and 0 server check extensions, would you play it? That way, I suppose they could hire more people such as scripters and developers and support GMs, (or even a better protection from hackers and bots?) and the game would improve.

I would love for this game to change to a pay to play game as long as they make the cash shop cheaper in return. Many, many annoying people would be gone and the servers would finally stop being so overcrowded. Lastly, Nexon would have to listen to us for once since we would be actual paying customers. It's the same reason WoW's community is so much better. So for me, it would be Maple's awesome gameplay + WoW's awesome community + REAL customer support for a small percentage of my paycheck.

[/quote] 100% agree with you. Personally I played MS and after MS I played WoW. They're KINDA different (related to community and assistance), and I was surprised that a GM helped me 15 minutes after I submitted a ticket. Very professional. Oh, and they even have phone assistance in your preferred language. I didn't feel scammed when paying 15 Euros each month in order to play WoW.

If they would get rid of the cash shop aside of clothing and eyes and stuffs. Everything else now obtainable in cash shop should be obtainable via quests or mesos. Also if like you said the customer service would get improved by a LOT, new content released regurlarly ( not the kind of content we get now. No frigging lame buy-more-nx-so-you-will-get-rich-events ). I wouldn't rush in and pay for it if it'd change into P2P right away. First I'd wait and see other player's opinions whether the game is better after the change.

Putting into consideration the 0 lag, 24/7 GM support, etc, yes. I would pay if the customer support was up to par. Otherwise... no, not really.

I think nexon makes more if it's 'free'; If you gotta pay to play, alot people will quit and I think (the people now buying NX) > (p2p a certain amount per month w/o cashshop)

Eh I would p2p if you got the perks of WoW. Cheaper CS, More Events? I agree with what are you saying Gery. When i did play WoW they were so much more helpful.
