Mkay so I don't have really any experience with sins at all so I'm wondering what to do equips wise, stars wise, stats wise, etc. Currently I've got a 10atk wg, 17luck Zhelm, and about 400m of funding for my sin. So I ask all of you experienced sins out there, what stars should I start out using and what should I do statswise, Dexless? Normdex? So I really don't know anything about sins so I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

I would recommend dexless later converting to low dex for greatest "bang for your buck" Your wg is fine So you'll need a luk robe (15+) Helm is fine 2/3 atk 5+ luk pac 100% Gold titans till 35, maple claw, kanday, bracer, skanda (dont spend much on any claws till skanda, you're wasting otherwise) With stars quantity>quality So always buy more stars over more attack Eg. 1 ilbi vs 3 steely I know sins that actually use 1 ilbi and that is all they can afford. They have to recharge constantly and it's just plain stupid You'll need about 4 sets 1-30, 6 sets 30-50, 8 sets till 70 then you'll want 10-12 sets with SP I recommend steely. Low dex section: You can now try to accumulate dex to become a low dex claw user. Eg. Craven. You will have dex from your helm. A top luk/bottom dex combo is a good way to not lose luk when switching to low dex You could just buy a dex robe 7+ dex BSS Dep star A belt from Dojo is free and nice. Dex earrings if you can afford. you could get a dex pac if you like aswell. So 1-80 all luk 80+ start getting dex equips your base dex should be total dex needed for claw-total dex you can get from equips usually a good cap is around 40.

[/quote] Don't listen to this guy Do NOT buy 1 set of stars for showing off.. that's stupid You'll need WAAY more than 4 sets of steely. His equation is full of fail 12 luk cape = 3 att pac 5 SLOTS. which means an equally scrolled pac means 12 luk cape =/= 3 att 10 luk Also luk loses its attack worth the more you level while attack gains worth Meaning Luk capes get weaker, att capes get stronger. HOWEVER on my low dex I use an 8 luk 6 dex cape because I'm currently poor and can't afford an attack dex PAC Feel free to buy a luk or dex YAC, just keep in mind they're hard to resell and lose their worth

[/quote] I'm not even an Assasin and I know this advise is very poor...4 steeles and 1 crystal ilbi are not 30mill total....You'd be lucky to snag a 7-8 luck earing for 50mill, let alone a 16 luck one. And its a better option to go with a scrolled Pink Adventurer Cape (a simple 1 attack one is always a good place to start, and you can always upgrade over time). I'd suggest you go low dex from the start (so you can get to work on your future dex equips right away), or go Dexless for a while, and then start converting. If its damage you're looking for (usually it is), then those would be the better options to acquire your wants~ Stick with steelies (not too expensive, and can really rack up when you've got mastery maxed), and don't be too worried about buying a 15 luck overall (I'm not sure how easy they are to re-sell). All in all, listen to Saucepan, because he seems to know what he's talking about

Also listen to futbol, for a shadower he knows his sins (: And yes the luk overall isn't important, if you're not a huge damage wh00re/perfectionist. You can skip straight to dex equips. I for one did this (dex overall was cheaper ;3). But if you want the most potential across your whole maple career its best to go pure luk then low dex when luk starts to fall behind (:

If you plan to hit late 3rd or 4th job you'll probably want to convert to low dex :P staying dexless unless you have bils of funding to be low dex AND dexless (O.o you know 25 base + lampion -cough herotex cough-) doesn't work out too well if you go low dex craven, when the new dex equips come out you'll have enough for a higher claw then? eh? eh?

[/quote] Yeah, those godly Bracers and Skandas (I rarely see the Dexless raven claws, and even then, they're very expensive when clean) can rack up the mesos fast. At some point (this is all relative to how much funding you have/ accumulate) it becomes a better option meso-wise to convert over to a low-dex. What I find kinda funny is: I've been told for a long time to convert my Shadower over to Str (since its a better option meso-wise for an unfunded Shadower, such as myself), and for a while I was considering it. I decided to stick it out with being a Luck Shadower, though. I love how I can be a hypocrite on these topics

only plan on being dexless if you are only wanteding to hit like 7x but if you want like 120+ i would recommend reg dex. i would recommend this bc you said this was your frist time making a sin get use to the class and if you want to make a new one make it a low dex they hit the most. i woulndt though recommend dexless bc if i face off asgainst a dexless at the same lvl as me i outdmg them by so much they are only good for 30-70

I've always wondered about the whole str dit thing.. sure they get a few base attack.. And khanjars.. So say 3 base attack + 15 attack x 5(luk worth) 18x5= 90 luk. They have a 75 str req.. (take out the free str you'd normally get from zhelm, etc.) say 50 points wasted so take that away from the 90 along with the 15 difference between bonus and req.. 30 luk bonus.. = 6 attack. Doesn't seem that significant. Say 10 attack for a margin of error. Doesn't seem like that huge of a jump o.o @above. Stats say with equal funding and equips dexless outdamages you. So you were just very funded and they were not (:

So you were just very funded and they were not (: [/quote] Well, with the maker skill, a little scrolling, and purchasing pre-scrolled equips, you can lower that 75 Str requirement by alot (I punched some numbers before, and I figured out that I could equip the Dragon Khanjar with a 5 base Str (I made this character before the perfect base stat was at the starting point), for a pretty low cost. It all has to do with the fact that the shield is easier to find, and they have such a high base attack for a clean shield. I feel that Luck Bandits were a little shafted because have we to dish out...700-800mill for a shield that gives me the same attack boost as one of their clean shields. Another thing is Str daggers are generally cheaper, if you compare prices for similar stat ones. I'm sure I could find a same stat Golden Double Knife to match my Blood Dagger pretty easily, and for around 100-150mill less than what I paid for my dagger (it may not be that huge of a difference, but I think you get my point).

I used to reroll for hours till I got 4/4 "Dammit 4/4 wrong place!" "AH CRAP MISSED IT -rerolls another half hour-" Why is it if everyone is a str dit nowadays that str daggers are still cheaper. They tried to balance luk and str dits since before khanjars there were very few str dits. Seeing as apart from the small amount of base attack and speed there was no reason to waste luk (Planning to make a dit, loves dits, favourite class is dit, doesn't have fundings for a dit, fames every dit he sees, thinks all dits are amazing, favourite weapon is the DT)
