'kay so, am I the only one that enjoyed Neo City?

Yeeeeah, I saw a lot of the doom and gloom posts that decorated Basil for a while in regard to Neo City. but, honestly, when I played through the different areas...I was entertained. The main part that I liked was how the Neo City plot intertwined with the Magatia one. Magatia is one of the few area storylines that I played all the way to its conclusion. So that callback to the Alacando/Zenumist society conflict was...pretty cool to me. Especially the part when that Android guy was brought up (the time traveler apparently glared at him or something). As far as the different stages go...the only one I couldn't stand was the "lol get 20 sketch pages from slimes" thing. That took entirely too long and I'm sure they could have found a better way to incorporate it. :T The animation for the monsters was pretty damn awesome, I don't think anyone can dispute that fact. For years people complain about MS only being about killing snails and mushrooms. Now we finally get tanks, androids and giant spaceships and people still aren't happy? Nice, man... Even though I OHKO'd a lot of the monsters (1-3 on some bosses) I think the areas were very creative. I know they're probably garbage in compare to Neo Tokyo but I was surprisingly entertained. ..and was there anyone else that squealed like a school girl when the Imperial Guard monsters showed up? I mean, wow. The only thing that could have made them better was if they were auto aggressive. That would have just taken the cake for me. So in short: even though I didn't get the cool 140+ environment, I'm not entirely ticked off. I enjoyed the animation, the storyline (the little bit there actually was) and just...a new change of scenery in general. Also, I lol'd when that final battleship launched a series of missiles with epic exploding animation only to miss me every single time. I've never had a monster miss me so many times.

I agree with everything you've said although the mobs weren't that mindblowing for me. Also getting the watch again and again was really bothersome

About the only good thing about Neo City, to me, was the fact that most things resembled the original NT content (but thats pretty much just monster sprites). For me, I just found everything about the place annoying. Some quests had terrible drop rates, and I had to take breaks to collect several stop watches. Then, one of the greatest attractions for most games, the bosses where terribly. A few hits and dead... Easy as hunting Manos on a level 10 beginner. My only drive to really continue was to be educated on this disappointment. It is true that I'd be less disapointed if i didnt know about NT, but I still would have been greatly disppointed, because to me, this area was one big hell...

Dragon Dancing through mobs of tanks was just...really epic for me. About the watches though...I only had to get a new one to enter the last stage. At that point I just gave the guy an eraser for a free pass.

i liked the area just not the monsters and bosses "easiness" the storyline was good but wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to short, still prefer the neo tokyo storyline

I just hate the time traveler watch thing...Got really annoying with all of the mobs casting status-altering spells constantly

The storyline was far too short. The longest part of it was collecting the 20 pieces of paper. Everything else flew by. I almost want to make a new character, get it to level 90 (or w/e the level requirement is to get to the end) and go through the entire area again. I'd imagine that people around that level are getting the maximum amount of enjoyment.

[/quote] Trust me, its even more epic when in Neo Tokyo, but the thought of smashing though those like Nappa did in DBZ does seem epic. Too bad I got too annoyed through the quests... and watches.
