I don't think an Anime movie can be qualified as "The Best Movie Ever". But that's my opinion.

Best movie ever? Schindler's List. 500 years from now people will be admiring that movie the way we admire the Mona Lisa today. I could, however, see convincing cases being made for Casablanca, Slumdog Millionaire, The Shawshank Redemption, and a few others. The predictable response is "The Godfather," but to be honest I don't think it holds a candle to any of those.
