Drumming Bunnies vs. Leprechauns: A Short Analysis

Introduction This analysis was created to help maplers decide whether they should kill Drumming Bunnies or Leprechauns when looking to prosper. Question How many leprechaun kills does it take to equal the value of a chaos scrolls? (assuming that all mesos are looted) Data - Chaos scrolls cost an average of 110 million mesos. - According to hidden-street's monster database, Leprechauns drop anywhere from 562-1096 mesos per kill. The math 110,000,000 mesos / 1096 mesos = ~100,365 Leprechaun kills 110,000,000 mesos / 562 mesos = ~195,730 Leprechaun kills Conclusion This means that you need to get a chaos scroll within 100,365-195,730 Drumming Bunny kills in order to get a better value than at Leprechauns. Some worthy notes - It is assumed that you can kill both Leprechauns and Drumming Bunnies in 1 hit. - Any additional drops besides the Leprechauns' meso drops and the Drumming Bunnies' chaos scroll drops are not taken into consideration - Spawn rates and movement are not taken into consideration. (ty Looterlord) - This analysis is not limited to just Drumming Bunnies, as many more monsters in maplestory drop chaos scrolls. - These are not statistical rates on which you can expect a chaos scroll to drop. - Leprechauns require almost no potions (no movement) whereas Drumming Bunnies may eat up more if you have little defense (ty gokhoa) - Sometimes Leprechauns don't drop mesos (ty xIdentity, Groundonrage, and AdroxNight) Thank you for reading my first, overly simplistic analysis

you didnt take into consideration that theres leprechaun[1] and leprechaun[2], each of which drop mesos.....

[/quote] A hidden map on haunted hill (I forgot the name) only has Phantom Trees, Leps, and a HH. The HH only spawns every several hours and is easy to avoid, so this is a pretty decent area to hunt leps. Still, not being able to mob them makes this a pain.

Too bad there is a chance to kill 5 bunnies and get 3 chaos scrolls, a red whip, and a potion. Its all based on chance. Killing that many bunnies does not guarantee a scroll.
