| I planned to train at Typhons on my xBow at level 8x, but I've heard some rumors that you can get banned for using puppet at Typhons. Since I'm going for AE build, can anybody confirm this? If so does anybody know any substitutes for training besides Typhons and is there a solution to prevent getting A/bed? |

| Ive Never heard about that, but i Never use puppet at typhons. Using puppet just causes the mob to disperse. And there really is no substitute for typhons, they are some of the best exp for us from 80-100+. |

| Yeah, I haven't heard of it either, but you shouldn't use puppet at typhons anyway. |

I get ~23% an hour at Squids (1st map) at level 91 and more with a 9x Hermit. It may not be as good exp but it's a lot more fun and virtually 0 pot burn. All I need to use are MP pots. ot: But yeah, puppet at Typhons is awful. Unless you can kill the mob before the puppet runs out, don't use it; the typhons run away and you have to mob them away. |

|
NineCrimes : ot: But yeah, puppet at Typhons is great. Even if you can't kill the mob before the puppet runs out, you can use it; the typhons won't run away because you hit them with AR as the puppet fades, and you won't have to mob them again.
I fixed that for ya. Honestly, I can't figure out whether people just don't understand puppet, don't understand arrow rain, or both... First, puppet will not get you banned at typhons. There was some kind of glitch getting people autobanned, but I've been training there for 10+ levels now (don't remember exactly how many), had puppet all over that map and been blown off of it in every direction you can imagine, and I've never had a problem. Now using puppet at typhons works quite well for me. I never lose mobs because of it, even if I'm mobbing 10 typhons, and I attack faster because I'm not tanking hits and drinking pots constantly. All you have to do is fire AR once after the message about puppet fading comes up. You get enough time to fire 2 or 3 times because the typhons sort of hang there for a second. The problem with puppet is that other typhons like to fly by while you're attacking, and you'll get them too. They come after you directly, and you have to adjust your position accordingly. If you screw that part up, then you'll be in the wrong place when the puppet fades and at least part of your mob will escape. -itsme- |

The problem is that extra Typhons are mobbed in as you kill the ones who are attacking the puppet. Considering that AE/AR only hits 6 monsters and you're not likely to be able to kill them fast enough until higher levels, the ones who are puppet'd will not all be hit by your AE/AR after the puppet disappears and you lose part of your mob. That's why I said it was awful, and that's apparently also why you're saying puppet is not always great at Typhons. |

| Puppet is fail at typhoons your mob will disperse on you which isnt fun. Btw when the mob runs low in typhoons just go into the cs and come back out and mob everything on top then jump back down to the safe spot for continuus ar ar ar and repeat after the mob dies. |

| I wouldn't use puppet unless you have beast character control or godly equips, at your level you can't kill before the mob disperses without close to max puppet. Just don't use it. Just please fix the a/bed thing in the last line. I'M GONNA AUTO BED YOU IF YOU USE PUPPET AT TYPHOONS. |

| I'd advise you to just try both ways puppet vs unpuppet and just see what works for you. Some people can't get the timing and positioning down that other people have no problem with, in other words everyone trains differently. Like I just never trained at gobbies cause I wasn't good at not getting hit by the houses, other people have no problem with that way of training. I think I used puppet sometimes, like if I had an extra large mob that prevented fly-by's of strays, this made sense to me because it was the same situation where you burn the most pots. (btw if you don't like the pot burning save this type of map for when your 2xing, it's 2x the exp for 1x the pot burning and makes it a bit more worth is. That way you get the most exp per your money) |

| I noticed that when i puppet at typhons, the mobs i hit after i puppet gets aggroed to the puppet sometimes. No idea now that could happen. |
