Strafe in 4th job

Is it ever useful in 4th job because I'm right now debating whether I should put any SP into it... I see BM's on vids use it sometimes during training even though they could have used hurricane but is there a point to it? Thanks.

max it, hurricane will replace it eventualy but you should defiantly max it

It's useful when you want to take out the bombs while bossing (pap and pianus) since you need a 10k hit to safely kill a bomb. You definitely want at least level 15 strafe as it is still quite useful in 4th job.

I actually use Strafe at Time Temple's later maps to finish off monsters so as not to aggro the ones behind my target. However, I could definitely do without it. If I could have a redo I'd max Inferno instead of Strafe.

OK most bowmen's max it for newt parties and bossing but a few bowmens are trying new skill sets and maxing out inferno and AR because strafe has no use 4th job

Maybe you could max the other skills (inferno) and put the leftover SP in strafe? What's your build?

the only use for it is potting when ur at anego. spam hurricane, and when ur out of MP, you can strafe and pot in the pick up time and then continue hurricane. of course, you still don't need to have it maxed just as long as its strong enough to KB. in any case however, i dont think you actually NEED it.

Of course you don't absolutely need it. It's just highly recommended to add when you're at places like Newties. Strafe does well as a finisher, or just killing one monster at a time. Sure, it's replaced by hurricane in the fourth job. What would you use during the 3rd job? Using Rain at Typhons all the way would absolutely drive you insane, and leveling up from 70-77 or 78 getting Rain to a good level to spam at Typhons using Double Shot would absolutely drive you insane.

[/quote] Eh.. I Typhon'd most of my way up.. It's actually pretty fun. IMO of course. Anyways IMO I think you should max everything in 3rd job except Inferno, And put the rest of the points in Strafe. I would have done that.. but it'd be a waste to reset it now.

I use strafe as the final blow. Usually, it hits from 15k-30k as a final hit to newtie golems/jrnewties. Think of it like mortal blow.
