| Title says it all, which weapon is better for training and bossing: A 121 ATT red surfboard - speed i think its slow (7)? or a 115-116 ATT crimson arcglaive. And whats the att diff from a slow weapon and a fast wep? Idk how to explain it. |

| Surfboard is only 6 attack more? Arcglaive will win by a lot... |

| assuming +40 att from Pots, BoF, equips ect 161att compared to 156att setup meaning the surfboard needs to be only 3.2% faster to match it. |

| I wouldn't trust Taleko's information, there's no proof behind it. The arcglaive will give you a higher damage per minute while the red surf will give you higher numbers. One speed level is approximately 15 attack, and I can't post URL proof because SP is down at the moment, but I will try to when it's back up. |

| I don't think the 5~6 ATT difference will give the surfboard a better DPS. I've heard lots of people say the same thing as mrme40, if that helps you believe him. ;) |

| Arcglaive. The arcglaive is not only a faster speed but you build up your combo's faster and can keep monsters KBed easier, meaning the arcglaive is not only better for bossing, but for training as well. at Mrme40, I suggest you learn to read. SP is also not down, and the 1 speed= 15 attack thing is not true, due to other factors such as total strength, dex, and weapon attack, which can greatly vary from player to player. |

| A red surfboard is normal attack, not slow. |
There is no proof behind your unfounded acusations, i have disproved that one speed level is definately not a static level of attack it is an increase or decrease of your entire attack setup (not just your weapon) [disregarding combo and critical for the moment] Now please go find your fabled proof and i will happily shoot it down. |
Mine are backed off pure logic, how did i grasp those numbers out of mid-air exactly? i used the numbers the TS posted, i estimated roughly how much attack he should have in extra equips, i posted a quick calcualtion on how much faster the weapon would need to be to match DPM, so please tell me where your thin air came from. |
That's true but I tested Normal speed and Slow speed pole arms and it's noticeably a BIG difference. This is random guess but by the time I can do 3 FS with normal speed, I did about 1.8 slow speed. |
No what taleko's saying is backed up by logic as he stated. If you attack faster it's not just your attack that gets a boost, if we say in theory the arc glaive attacks 5% faster. You wouldn't just need 5% attack boost to keep the dpm equal, you'd need 5% more dex and strength and so on too. Logic and math works for me. |
