Will DBs be all around better then Shads?

Not trying to start a flame war but will DBs(Dual Blades) out class Shads? Again im not trying to start a flame war.

i asked on the other thread if they had something like mesoguard or anything protective, but i dont think so. In other words: DB beat Shads in terms of speed and dmg Shads beat DB in terms of endurance

Shads have very high survivability. BUT! DB looks extremely awesome ( Even if it hurts me to say ) and I'll actually give up my bandit to go with it. EDIT : Not too mention they got practically every skill of each class. Ultimate - Check. FJ - Check. Critical - Check. "Corkscrew Punch" - Check. 8 - hits savage blow - Check.

Did Arans become 'all around better' than Polearm DKs? That is a matter of opinion, but I believe whatever happened to Polearm DKs (whether they are still around or have become even more dismal) will also happen to Shadowers.

Goddammit, it's a dagger, no shield will look like that. B) It does not protect you. All it does is to add damage. There is no "Block" in maple, only "Miss."

i just watched the video. they have a skill like shadowpartner... so i guess they do more than 8slashes to a monster then plus the added flashjump bonus... but they have problems though, they have no fake. So compared to the adventurer rouge, they will get hit more ofter. their boomerang -step [bstorm] is a combination with rush, so its not long range meaning its will make you touch the monster itself. like suicide up against a boss like zakum. 8hits = slower than 1 TT above all else, most job's are getting revisions to handle the additional classes. so hopefully everything becomes more 'balanced'

I dont think so. My friend just hit Shadower and is spamming Boomerang Step and Assassinate and Assaulter and is barely getting hit. So they have skills that have invincibility frames and i dont think Duel Blades have invincibility frames. Plus Shadowers have Meso Guard, Haste(i dont think duel blades have haste), Chakra, Smokescreen, and Meso Explosion. Also Assassinate when fully charged hits max damage, plus Meso Explosion is very strong.

[/quote] But they don't have stance or genesis or mesos guard or any form of defense buff for that matter. They also have incredibly low hp for a melee class and given that they don't have mesos guard it doesn't seem likely they'd be in major boss runs with bosses that hit high touch damage not to mention magic damage.

They get FJ as well, so that takes care of mobility. Chakra is useless in every sense of the word. Smokescreen is probably what's going to keep Shads from being replaced in parties at least. As for ME and Assassinate, they're terribly awkward to use. It's pointless using ME unless you're dropping sacks down and thats huge money wasting, and Assassinate is only useful when moving from one mob to the next. It's handy at Pap, no doubt, but almost useless everywhere else. The endurance is something else though. Add the base 30% chance of not getting hit with their avoidability and MG, and you'd be hard pressed to die anywhere that doesn't hit above your HP lvl. Shads shouldn't get replaced, but why are we talking about PA DKs? Doesn't EVERYBODY go hybrid now? Arans COULDN'T replace any sort of DK simply because its needed too much for partying.
