If you've seen it, what do you think about it? For me, it was kind of predictable in a way because I'm used to seeing movies similar to Shutter Island, so I predict the unpredictable. If you like movies that make you think "wtf?", watch it. The comments below obviously may have spoilers, so-- In fact, if you haven't seen this movie, just leave after the next period.

I'm planning on watching it. You said it was kind of predictable, but is it "good"?

It was amazing, and it was not predictable. I loved the DeNiro cameo and Mark Ruffalo+ Leonardo DiCaprio put on amazing performances. Edit: @above- *SPOILERS* he was cured, meaning he wasn't delusional about being a marshal anymore, meaning the treatment worked. However, he simply couldn't live with the fact that he killed his wife even though she killed their kids. So, he pretended that he was still delusional so the doctors had to lobotomize him because he was very violent in the past when he was delusional (a couple weeks before, he almost killed that prisoner guy in the cell because he called him by his real name instead of his fake Marshall name).
Chawcolate : I'm planning on watching it. You said it was kind of predictable, but is it "good"?
It's unpredictable for most people. I found it to be really great if you like similar movies. I don't want to give titles of similar movies because that could somewhat spoil the movie.
Noo, he was actually delusional the whole time, pretending to be a marshal when in fact, he made up a new personality because he didn't want to live as the person who killed his wife. The whole movie was set up as new treatment method by the doctors of the institution to let "Teddy Daniels" (thats just the fake name he made up for his Marshal-personality) play out his fantasies so that he can face the fact of who he really is. In the end, the treatment actually works and he comes to the realization with what he did, but he simply couldn't deal with it, so he faked being delusional again. Because of this, the doctors had to lobotomize him.

It would've been a pretty interestting movie too, if the treatment centre had some secret expierements going on and he had to try and sollve the problem. Either way, i dont regret watching this movie although it was incredibly long! (thats what she said)
