Which civilization has the most interesting history?

Middle Easterners have a very appealing history. I may have come up with this answer because I used to be extremely biased towards the populace before I even attempted to learn anything about their culture. But now that I have gone through [early] several centuries of Muslim and other Middle Eastern civilizations' history, it's all very nice and interesting. Basil, which country or civilization would you say has had the most interesting historical background?

After class on Thursday, I decided I want to look into Egyptian history. I'd say they have a very interesting history, from an art appeal.
