The new x2 exp quest and a question about it

So the new patch will give us a chance at x2 exp through a quest buuuuut..... It says that we could stack it using our x2 exp cards from the cash shop. So if we have a x2 exp card from the cash shop, a x2 bonus from the quest it would be x4 exp. What if we have x2 exp buff from rep? Would we be able to do that? And also, if we had all of those together would it be x6 exp or x8 exp?

[/quote] Actually when the Family system first came out. 8x was possible for a short time before they patched it. 2x(event) * 2x(card) * 2x(family buff) = 8x

[/quote] Or it could just double the current amount of EXP you get from the monster. So Instead of (2(2(X)) it could be 2x + 2x. We can't actually prove how Nexon's servers calculate it, so you can't assume anything (As I said in my previous post.)

actually i would be 8x if (2x) rep worked because it is multiplied. where people get the 6x from would probably because people used 2x NX with 2x event with 1.5x rep when it still worked (2 x 2 x 1.5 = 6)

It would explain a lot anyways, and make more sense. I have always said that HS only makes up for the Priest taking EXP from the party. D:

I said 8x was actually available for a short period of time. Thus proving it does calculate it as 2x*2x*2x

Its not 6x, people who believe it is are mathematically challenged. Its 2 x 2 x 2. Not 2 x 2 + 2. DOUBLE experience, DOUBLED again and DOUBLED once more = 8x. But no, Family/Quest 2x don't stack, so were stuck with 4x.

Because as far as I remember, everyone getting supposed 8x had HS, which 6x and holy symbol would be ridiculously close to 8x. I have never seen anyone saying they got 8x from that without a priest in the party as well (In both screenshots and stories I have heard.) EDIT: Going to sleep, I'll hopefully check in on this in the morning... dumb school.

Its simple. Look at your exp you gain with multiplied experience. When family rep first came out and x8 was available, thats just what it was. x8. If I was getting 2k experience per kill, with an x2 event it would be 4k, a card would make it 8k and finally with the rep buff 16k per kill. 2k x 8 = 16k.

Yes I did actually use 8x and no HS was used. 2x(event) * 2x(card) * 2x(family buff)

Ive has a 105 priest and i train at gallos If it was 1.5x i would be getting way more than 2750exp in gallos with hs.

the way x2 is calculated on the server is multiplying the exp by 2. so each x2 takes its effect. so if you to go say.... evil eyes which give 50 exp then the event x2 is calculated first giving 100 exp. then t he next x2 from card is calculated to the 100 exp making it 200 exp. then the rep x2 is calculated on the 200 exp making it 400 exp. 400 divided by 50 equals 8 making it x8 exp.
