Question about the Artifact Hunt.

So, I didn't really pay attention to the 1st Artifact Hunt.. But, the Balrog and Broomstick Mount really caught my attention this time. To sum it up, I really don't know anything about this event. How does one get artifacts and how many excavation points are each artifact? Also, are there different artifacts that you can get and which monsters drop them? Thanks in Advance!

Get card from gaga> kill monsters (any monster) > loot artifacts> repeat every hour

You get 1, 3 or 20 every time you loot one. Make sure you leave at least 1 space in your etc or you'll always get 1 point. All monsters drop the same amount so killing weak ones with good spawn helps a lot. I got 30k points in an hour on 4x drop at drumming bunnies. You also get to choose a day to have double the points. Instead of 1,3 or 20, you get 2, 6 or 40.

where do you get the medal?because on all of the 8 mystical artifacts it says (ended) so i assume i already did it some other time, but i dont know how to get the medal for getting all 8
