In my humble opinion, any melee character. I don't like ranged characters much because every single one seems to have a problem, whether it being completely defenseless in a crowd (1st job Bowmen), having low damage (1st and 2nd job Gunslingers), or just being plain expensive (Assassins). Personally, I like being up close and personal, not hiding on a platform sniping or jumping around like some excited person that just hit the lottery for $250,000,000. Bandits are probably my favorite melee character; they have average HP, really good accuracy and avoidability, they do STUPIDLY high damage if uber funded (I've seen some level 50 dit with almost TWICE my current range on my dit at level 58), and they use all their skills to really have fun. Bandits are very fast pace and nothing IMO beats jumping, Savage Blowing, jumping, Savage Blowing, etc over and over. Warriors I formerly thought were my favorite, but since playing my dit, I've realized Warriors are too clunky. They are hopeless without accuracy gear; they cannot hit ANYTHING. Granted, a super funded DEXless could have the accuracy to hit 40+ avoid mobs and use a STR overall WITHOUT relying on Maple weapons, but the lack of accuracy is a pain. Brawlers I don't really know much about though. Still, if you don't want all the: -OMG ur acc phails -OMG ur weak -OMG ur slow Why not have all three and be a Beginner ? They're not as weak as they look on paper. Heck, Zach can attest to that; making the Lord Pirate out to be a total wimp doing a whopping ONE point of touch damage. And really, in the Beginner world, nobody cares about your flaws. You won't be judged for being "too weak" or anything like that. Beginners are a highly non-competitive leisurely-oriented job (or lack thereof).

This is a joke post --Warriors-- 1st job: Wow you're slow and you're damage is all over the place. Fighter: Rage cancels pots, everyone hates you. My defense is horrible now. Page: Lol you don't have any skills, everyone hates you. Spearman: HB is nice but you're so slow! What's wrong, Aran got your board? Aran: Your HP sucks--and how does it feel knowing that your damage is SPLIT across those enemies? Hurts don't it? Dawn Warrior: What are you, some kind of Magician? You have no defense skills and you sit in the back throwing moons at people! You're just a mage in warrior armor! Speaking of which--is there a Sword that looks like a Staff/Wand? That'd be great for a joke-character. --Mages-- 1st job: Lol Magic has it's own mastery yet your damage levels off once your skill is maxed. Fire: Fire sucks, enjoy not training well after level 50 Poison: Poison is cool dood, too bad you're never gonna get to level 50 where it gets good. Ice: Ice? People still do ice with all of the nice mob spots around today? Wow, you suck! Lightning: What? You're too good to freeze people? Heal: What a tool, I have pots, go away. How does it feel knowing that your damage splits across those 5 enemies you hit? Hurts don't it? Holy Arrow: *high-five* Good luck after 50 though when you're stuck at Slimies. Blaze Wizard: I bet you've blown your speakers up spamming that skill from one platform, haven't you? --Bowmen-- 1st job: Critical ONE damage! Oh wow, you must be proud. Have fun being a SE mule in 4th. Hunter: Man, bow prices sure are expensive... And they also have the worst damage formula. Crossbowman: How does it feel knowing you're stronger than a Hunter, but you'll be constantly over shadowed? Wind Archer: Man, bow prices sure are expensive... And they also have the worst damage formula. Too bad you're horrible compared to your adventurer counterparts. --Thieves-- 1st job: Lol lucky 7 has it's own mastery rating Sin: Sure seems like a lot of same skill in here... Also, your next weapon will cost 10 times the one you're wearing now--will that be cash or charge? Bandit: So much MP usage per skill--and training on weaker enemies you have to one or two hit. That's gotta feel slow. Night Walker: Vampire looks cool--too bad it sucks without Critical and Mastery maxed. --Pirates-- 1st job (a): lol accuracy problems 1st job (b): lol weak damage Brawler: lol accuracy problems--why are you pushing the boss into your party members? Whatcha tryin to do, play Volleyball? I think that's your point. Gunslinger: lol weak damage, crappy mobbing, grenade's range is all over the place, have fun sniping from the roof of the car in MP3. Thunder Breaker: lol accuracy problems--cool sharks dude, Good job being the only Cygnus Knight with a great end game--as if that's saying anything! This is where the joke ends Beginners: High defense formula, no XP loss on death, Less money spent on cab fare, cooler than cool, hotter than hot. Noblesse: All the fun of the beginner--more power, a choco

IN RESPONSE TO SAID JOKE POST I lol'ed. Don't forget sins have to use the SAME attacking skill 10-120. Must get boring using your level 10 skill at 119, huh? Oh and about Aran, your PG ripoff skill DOESN'T WORK when you're on a rope/ladder. To Bandits; have fun needing to work with THREE stats to maximaze your potential, and also have fun saving up enough to do super damage. Oh and enjoy your bugged Shinkita and having daggers cost a fortune 64+ too. Seriously, go Ginner =p

Legends: All the fun of the beginner--with the ability to mob with polearms, a wolf to ride on, and a really awesome title. [/quote] This is no joke! Beginners are the way to go! |

D: That joke post made me sad because I love pages. </3 Anyway, for real--beginners are the way to go. Lots of fun, random fame, no exp loss, cool equips, and really unique. :3 However, you'll get these phrases said to you a lot: "y r u beginner?" "y dont u have a job" "lol y beginner?" "omg ur weak" "lol noob u dont know how to get job" o_o; In fact, the verbal abuse is so bad that this happened to me yesterday... I was CPQing and I said the following: "Lv. 46 Beginner J> PQ! I'm worthless! :D" See, the trick to PQing is to admit your flaws right away so people who are nice will party you. That way, you don't get randomly expelled and nobody minds your class. So, the leader partied me and the next guy he partied (whose name shall not be mentioned) said this without me saying anything first: "omg why the ****ing perma?" So, I said to him, "You know, beginners can get offended, too." And I said that lightheartedly, being used to that kind of stuff. However, he went on to say these things... "**** you!" "ur so ****ing weak!" "omg u noob! wtf" And then, that magical phrase, "y dont u have a job" So, annoyed, I told him that I don't explain myself to people that can't make simple inquiries without being rude. He then proceeded to tell me "**** you" once more and defamed me. Yeah, you have to deal with that stuff as a beginner.

If anyone starts with me, I CC and if that fails (the person follows me), I logout. I don't tolerate drama anymore. If someone begins with the harassment (ch1 ship rides especially), I refuse to stick around. I don't need a 15 minute boat ride of insults. To be honest, the only people that defame me are random level 20s and under; everyone else more or less couldn't really care less. The main thing I get is "lol hes nothing special theres a level 154 beginner in broa". I'm like "No, I really didn't know that F3," although he's on my BL and anyone with ANY Beginner knowledge KNOWS about him. When it comes down to it though, everyone has something wrong with them and EVERY job is discriminated for one reason or another. But my main question; why does it bother you how I choose to play the game? Is it really killing you that I'm level 74 and still the most basic job? Does it kill you that guy is level 70 and you're only level 50 with a higher range than him? Meh, you gotta take the good with the bad though. The List of Insults/Stereotypes I've seen: Warriors- lol ur slow and unstable; pages fail, fighters are Cloud wannabes and spearmen are too common, lol @ all the MISSes Mages- omfg mage ks, mages r weak, priests are worthless without a party, i/l fails at training/is too weak, f/p's mist is joked about Bowmen- lol nice 1 dmg critical, ur weak, lol SE mule Assassins- omfg ks'er, haste me pl0x (F4) Bandits- lol u phail w/o funding, ur weak Gunslingers- lol ur weak, u fail at mobbing Brawlers- lol u cant hit anything; omfg OP'ed -_- Beginners- Do I even need to go here?

Listing your flaws do get you in some PQ's but in CPQ2 it doesn't work like that, I did that ended up with a party of 2 lvl 6x sins a cleric and me. The two sins made a party and I was stuck with the cleric. FFF100... seriously? we lost, cleric left cause I couldn't kill fast enough, though i killed faster then her. I had to get another person, and we got 180 points in 5 minutes, with summons they got 1.1k Ugh!
