Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday is the day before the start of Lent. Lent = time for fasting, for Catholics So it's a day for people to get their gluttonous desires out of the way (at least for a while) Don't necessarily have to be catholic to stuff yourself. o-o

im jealous, i would love to go to another mardi gras. The first (and only) one I went to, i had lots of friends who had just rushed frats. i went with one and their frat had a shopping cart full of alcohol that we took along with us. it was awesome. And I went into the french quater on mardi gras, it was sooooo packed. and lots of other stuff too.
