A while ago, my friends and I were at a retreat and we stayed up pretty late. We started discussing about what life meant and where we were headed. (This was a Catholic retreat). Everyone shared their opinions and all of their thoughts were interesting. What's the purpose of life for all of you? (For Atheists/Agnostics, feel free to post what you think.) I don't think it matters if you're an atheist or not ._.;; I'm an atheist though and I believe the purpose of life is to make your own purpose. Set your own dreams, goals and work to attain them; nothing more.

I read in this Christian book that your purpose in life is to serve God and he created you to express himself....don't quite get that though My belief is that your purpose in life is to make the most of whatever you do

Nearly everyone around the world goes to school. why? because they want to go to a good college.. why? they need a good job. why? they need money? why? they want to live their last few years of their life after they retire happily. So basically, you're working hard/getting stress (happy at times) just because you want to live the last 15-20 yrs. of your life better. Yes, there are ppl. who can retire earlier than others, but that's like what? 5%?

I believe we just happened to be conceived and that we could live life as we please, because it's the only thing that really belongs to us.
