Stuck Characters

I sent this ticket to nexon a week ago: My friends character has remained online for about 2 hours after quitting maplestory. He clicked the "log out" button and I can still see his character online. He tried to restart his whole computer and it still didnt log his character out. I'm afraid his character might be 'stuck' on the game. He cannot log back into his account as it says the account info is already in use or something to that effect. What causes this problem, and also how can it be fixed? Thanks, -username- Now one of my characters is in the same state. I cant log in on my account. I sent an addition to this ticket: This problem still hasnt been resolved as of 7 days and the character is still stuck. Now one of my characters is stuck online as well. As I was logging in with the PIC I got disconnected and now if I try to log back in it says "This ID is already logged in or the server under inspection. Please check again" when I put in my password. When I go onto my brothers account and login, I type /find charactername, and it says my character is offline. So i assume it is stuck in the login phase. My account has been like this for an hour now. When or how can this be fixed? Now its been 7 hours and I still cant login and i havnt gotten a reply in a week for either character. Does anyone know how to fix this problem since nexon doesnt care? Thanks in advance -MM

Just a simple : did your friend check his account in nexon.net? maybe he got hacked ,or just a glitch like you say , but this could also be hacker like i said made a charactere that you do not know?

I know for a fact that its not hacked because even if someone somehow managed to take my character info out of my brain and put it on, it would still show up as my character online, or if the hacker logged out, it would say my password has changed ect,ect, instead of the account is logged in .

That happens to me :o I got two accounts and when it gets stuck I log on my second account for a bit and track it, after a few seconds the other account should be logged off.

I think you are exaggerating a bit on how long your character is considered logged in. Maplestory has a built in idle-check for problems like this and will DC your character in about 45 seconds. If you try to spam logging in you will get disconnected from the log in screen and if you do this too much you might get temporarily IP banned. Wait a minute and try again. If you really do have a friend that is logged on for a prolonged period of time try interacting with them. Try to trade them, chat invite, party invite, etc. This will cause that character to receive information. If that character gets no client-server interaction it should DC within a minute.

Idle check failed for me. I tryed ./find my charecter (Ementhal) its a swiss cheese 8D. anyways it didn't show i was logged in. So i tried and i failed. My account was still logged in. :P Current time logged in : 3 hours 49 min.

This also happened to me on my main account. It happened when I disconnected while entering the PIC. I've tried pretty much everything including temp banning myself, disconnecting internet, etc. It's been over 72 hours since this happened, so you'll probably have to wait until the next server check or until someone responds to your ticket.
