Hello my fellow Maplers, you might remember me from a previous thread that sparked a lot of debate. "Maplestory and the Economy Blues" sparked a lot of debate. Some of you had a lot of important things to say, some of you didn't. I'm more interested in what YOU the people of MS have to say about the economy. Let your feelings fly free here. If you like the economy in Maplestory, tell me why, and tell me how well it works for you. If you don't like the economy in Maplestory, then tell me why as well, and also what would make it work better for you. I want to read INTELLIGENT posts. if I find that you have wasted forum space by posting how "retarded" anyone is, or "merchant ftw" I will report you for not contributing to the conversation. It doesnt work that good for me. The prices are WAY to high for anyone my class to afford. A 20atk shield for 2.4bil? A ele staff for 250mil? A 7atk scg for 90Mil? a 22dex robe for 200mil?

Well, its the players that really make the economy right (excluding the hackers). So the economy was based on what players think the items are worth, and I think that the prices are pretty decent.

The maplestory economy is ridiculous. If you want to get a decent amount of money and equipment, you have either: -Buy NX cash -Play for hours. HOURS.

Merchants are the sole reason to why our market hasn't overinflated yet. They do so many transactions that a lot of the mesos are floating out of the economy because of them.

Well , if you want cheap /normal price you can still buy from people in normal zone (pq areas,town,boss sometime) but buying from ch 1 fm entrance/ any of those room is like helping the merchand to keep continue in theire spams

I dont think there's anything wrong with the economy. It's VERY easy to make mesos in maplestory. All you do is buy 1000apples from Scania/Bera and world xfer it to a newer server.

The economy is not really suited for newbies. Everything is worth so much money, you'd have to hunt for hours for some scrolls or just merchant. On the other hand, if you are lucky, I'm sure you'd love the economy.

Meh, nowadays everything is overpriced (I mean 2x higher than it's actual price), and whenever people are buying stuff from me, they offer ridiculously low prices. For example....... Lets say I was selling a gfa 60%, then a merchant trades me. Merchant: 4mil Me: Uhhh, no gfa's are 9-10mil *clicks cancel* This happens so often it's annoying. But overall, it's not too bad.
