Ok, so recently I've been hacked and my main's PIN was changed entirely,(112 CB, 77 Aran). I was thinking about making an MM because remaking my CB would take WAYYY too long. I just have a few questions, is an MM's damage good(excluding Snipe)? Are the prices of Xbows/Scrolls really high? Would I have to buy use slots to hold more Arrows? The only real problem of ranged classes for me is the whole incapability of close range attacks and overuse of use slots. What would my HP be by 120? So yeah, that's all for now.

Marksmen generally hit higher than Bowmasters due to cheaper scrolls and cheaper bows but of course it depends on their funding. During 2nd and 3rd Job you'll usually be able to out damage a pre-Bowmaster with the same funding as your skills are almost basically the same. The only 2 different skills are Iron Arrow vs. Arrow Bomb (Iron Arrow does more damage) and Blizzard vs Inferno (Inferno can both critical and do more damage potentially than Blizzard which usually is left at 21 points only for its freezing ability of 3 secs but however cannot critical) You'll be relying on Strafe throughout 4th Job as opposed to Bowmasters who use Hurricane which can beat you on Damage per minute on single monsters later on but you'll have skills like Pierce which can help you train faster and do more damage than Hurricane on larger groups (up to almost 250k damage) and of course the almighty Snipe which after maxing has the ability to do about 200k damage every 5 or so seconds. A marksmen who has a maxed Snipe can out damage unappled Bowmasters up till into their 15x or 16x on single targets if their funding is around the same so that's pretty good, however due to our reliance on Snipe against Bowmasters we also don't benefit as much from Apples as they do since Snipe's damage is consistent. As for arrow slots, you don't have to worry about them after you get Soul Arrow but its generally good to hold some extra arrows in case you get dispelled or something at bosses or certain monsters. I usually only have an extra 2 slots of arrows on me for emergencies but for training usually as long as you remember to recast Soul Arrow you'll be fine even with no arrows in your inventory. For HP, you'll have around 3.5kish HP base by 120 but most likely less with no HP washes or Blooding.

Actually, MM with max snipe first outdamages bowmasters til lvl 180 with no apple and lvl 160 with apple. Crossbows are quite cheap. Everything else the guy above me explained it pretty well.

FreeinternetIt would be better to pick a class based upon their second job mob skills, I have a bias towards Iron Arrow though, I love that skill. Thing is Marksmen are just as what the Nexon site says they are, they are power over speed. If you want to see a big fat 19X,XXX number this is the class, if you want to see your mob move going over 100,000, this is the class. Just remember there is a different between damage over time and damage in a single hit. For damage over time Marksmen are alright, not the top and not the bottom depending upon the level of the Marksman and build. I also have to admit, training is pretty fun as one.
