People are always making threads about them getting KSed. They rant about how a Hermit stole their map. They rant about how a Bishop or Arc Mage stole their map. They rant about any class that KSes them. Now how many of you just say "CC PLZ" and if they don't leave you just get made and curse them out? How many of you even bother to stop and say something like "Hey it would be kind of you to leave this map and change channel because its common courtesy in this game to leave when there's someone training in the map already."? Maybe acting more human and kind will get KSers to leave. Discuss.

Of course, I wouldn't type out "CC PLZ". I ask them to leave and if they don't leave, I'll just bring in a stronger char or ks them myself.

Most of these "KSers" can't comprehend your pleas. I'm pretty sure the majority of them don't even know what "courtesy" is. In all seriousness, I always try asking in a very polite fashion; it hardly ever works. That's why I switched to Mardia. Absolutely empty servery ^^.

For me i ask if they can cc, and if they dont i try to share map with them

I say "Excuse me, can you cc please" without the QUESTION MARK. They usually say "Yessir" or "Ok" and "Sure" or "Can we party" then I say no "no sorry my friend is comming" <~

Most of them probably won't leave but for me, I'm in Demethos, most of the people I kindly ask to leave in that manner will leave or I'll at least ask them to let me get the last few % I need to level up. I'm not a hardcore player where I need to say CC PLZ. I only play until I feel like I've had enough which is about an hour or two. If they don't leave then I'll probably either leave or KS them back.

I say "Could you please change channels? [:" If they ignore me, I ask again, multiple times. Then I eventually get angered and make an attempt to ks back (very difficult, considering my two mains are a pure poison mage, and a Priest...). If all fails, I'll change channels myself, and add them to my hit list. (Yes, I have a hit list of every single person who's ever bothered me (ks'd, scammed, made fun of, etc.) in anyway on Maple. :D I have no clue what this list will eventually lead to.)

Since the time I have played Maple Story, I've always thought that if someone enters the map channel you're training on, if they begin attacking monsters, and I say "Change channels please," and they don't, then it's just an all-out KSing war. Tragedy of the commons, imo. @Jigglypoof: Sounds like a hitlist or a terrorist watch list. xD

I loled when i read acting more human and kind to ksers. If they're ksing me they're the one's being unkind and rude. "Waah this person got mad at me when i forcibly tried to take their map away and they didnt type out change channels please and inatead said cc plz so I will continue being a jerk." sounds ridiculous I think you should type out please change channels just to be polite, but it shouldn't make a difference. If you're being ksed the kser obviously knows what they are doing and don't care about the one being ksed. The only time it can really be excused is if you are just starting the game and you ks someone, because then ou wouldn't know the common courtesies. Ksing is definatly something you learn about within your first 30 levels. If a bishop or am comes to ks you they are not going to leave simply because they are there for the express purpose of ksing you wether it be for the map or because you pissed them off.

In Scania, I don't think any method seems plausible enough since people tend to come and claim maps for themselves I'm so glad I'm in Mini-Dungeons now

I remember those day's playing in Bera on my chief bandit. Everyone knew everyone and there still wasn't as much players as there was today. Sigh if only we could go back to the days where we'd spend hours vending at Period Channel 1

Why should ksers receive kind treatment? After all, they are the ones who are being immature and E-bullying. Nevertheless, I always type out "change channels please". If that doesn't work, I bring an Arch Mage account to KS.
