| ok guys, this is my dilemma... i have a Hero lv 123 and i have 20dex Base, but i want to know what's better... a Dexless Hero with a pro scrolled Stonetooth sword or a dexless hero with a reversal 1h sword with a 20att Maple Shield? i have enough money to make a 151att Stonetooth sword since i have a 106att clean ST, and i can make my hero 4dex base since i have 116dex in equips now... What should i do guys? i need some advices! =P |

| It's like 16 atk difference between an ST and 1h + shield combo. If you have a 151 atk ST, you'd need a 147 atk reverse Executioner. So, it's up to you. |

| dexless hero with a perf scrolled reverse and a 20 att shield would easily beat a 15x ST user who had to use dex gears/ht pend to get dex requirement. |

| It just depends on what you want and what you assume. Generally, if you want Damage per Hit, cost efficiency, training efficiency, etc. then 2-h is better. If you want DPM and always have fast (3) attacks then 1-h is the better option, but if you want it to match the raw power of a 2-h then you'll probably need a shield (and even then you probably wont afford one to significantly out damage a 2-h). You can also take other variations, like using a RK for fast (2) speed (I'd mention the lunch box or neo tokyo, but those are unavalible to most) or use the ST for fast (3). Also... how does having a 106 clean ST mean you can afford a 150+ ST? Something doesnt add up unless you plan to White Scroll + 10% it. |
bro, did u read my post? i said i cn wear my ST sword having 4dex Base and i dont need to use a HT pendant! xD i have 7STR 24dex blue lv100 boots... Besides i have an 11att MON and a 9att 1slot Purple Belt! and i think making a perfect scrolled 1h reversal and getting a 20att shield would be more expensive than making a perfect scrolled ST sword, oh! i forgot to put in my post that i saw a guy in Nexon forums who post this... From what I see and what I hear from people, you should not consider using a 1 hand weapon until 4th job. This is because with the 4th job Hero skill, Brandish, the range is the same for both a 1 hand weapon and a 2 hand weapon. After you reach 4th job and you have a decent level of Brandish, you have to do the calculations. Because a godly scrolled 2 hand weapon can still outperform a badly scrolled 1 hand weapon and ATT shield. But for simplicity, consider the following assumptions: 1) Both weapons have the same attack speed. 2) Both types of swords have the same consistency. 3) The maximum damage of a 1 hand weapon is [(STR *4.0 + DEX)/100] * Weapon ATT. 4) The maximum damage of a 2 hand weapon is [(STR *4.6 + DEX)/100] * Weapon ATT. Since you are low DEX, STR will be much greater than DEX, so we don't really need to consider DEX at all. Now equate the two equations. [(STR *4.0)/100] * ATT(1 hand) = [(STR *4.6)/100] * ATT(2 hand) And so, ATT(1 hand) = 1.15*ATT(2 hand) From these calculations, we can see that if the weapon ATT of a 1 hand sword + shield is 1.15 or more times that of a 2 hand sword, it will outperform a 2 hand sword. Otherwise, you should stick with a 2 hand sword. Of course, I did not consider the speed of the weapon, but you will have a hero soon, so what you do is buy some cheap 1 hand sword and 2 hand sword, doesn't matter what level it is, and test it yourself. Spam Brandish for 2 minutes with each type of weapon and just calculate the ratio between the two. Take (# of swings 2 hand)/(# of swings 1 hand) and multiply by 1.15, that'll give you an approximation as to how much att is need for a 1 hand sword + shield to match the power of a 2 hand sword. |
You can scroll with 50% + white scrolls! duh! and if this guys is as rich as he says it wouldn't be a problem to make a 151att ST sword since he has a 106att clean one! you only have to do some easy maths... with hammers u have 9slots to scrolls so.... 9*5att= 45att, so the ST sword will be 151att and 27 STR... i know this hero calle FinalFantasy, he has a 153att ST sword! he made it from a 108att ST sword and he used 50% scrolls with Ws's. I guess a 151att ST on a dexless hero will be better than a pro scrolled 1h reversal sword +20att maple shield...Oh! and don't forget how sexy looks a St sword... |

| With Gachapon, you have the chance of getting a weapon 2 above perfect or 2 below worst. Usually it's a 10 point difference from worst to perfect. 96 ~ 106, but with Gach, you can get a 108. If you want the highest DPM for bossing and such, go with the godliest scrolled Red Katana you can get. If that's unavailable, get the Reverse Executioner and an ATT shield, a Gellerhead or Blue Dragon Sheild, since the Maple Shield is so ugly. Hammer them and you can get a great shield. If you want the best DPM for training, I'd say a Stonetooth would be better. It would hit higher, meaning less hits to kill, meaning faster EXP. The only drawback, if you can call it one, is the lack of Defense and Avoid that comes with having a shield. |
