regarding gunslingers: at low levels should an overall be scrolled for strength or dex? it's probably better to use a bathrobe than a pirate overall that is similarly scrolled amirite? i feel the speed would make up for the small bonuses in str and wdef

At low levels, yes, overalls should be scrolled for DEX. At lower levels, less STR is required to wear each gun. This makes it possible to get the STR from other equips, allowing you to scroll your overall for DEX, which is the primary Gunslinger stat. In addition, scrolling for DEX is much cheaper than for STR. Since you level so much faster at lower levels, it is more economically beneficial to scroll for DEX, as you will be replacing your overall every ten levels. For your second question, this also depends on lower levels. It also, however, may depend on personal preference. At lower levels, your DEX to damage ratio will be low; as such, one or two DEX extra from an overall won't make much of a difference. I would much rather use a +10 DEX bathrobe than a +13 DEX level 20 pirate overall (forgot it's name) due to the low bonus damage gained by the pirate overall and the speed of the bathrobe. At higher levels, though, pirate overalls begin to come with higher base stats. The Green Plasteer (level 50) comes with 4 base STR, which still is, admittedly, a very small bonus. On the other hand, this pirate overall has more than double the defense of a bathrobe. On the third hand, the pirate overall gives no speed, and this is here personal preference comes in. Do you want 4-6 more STR and double the defense, or half the defense, less DEX, and 10 more speed?

100% Dex o.o always :O. Till maybe around 8x you can start to think about getting a decent 20 dex overall, or a str if ur low str and want reverse wep

Thanks a bunch! I was just wondering dex/str because I know for warriors it's almost always dex (secondary stat) Btw, according to basil green plasteer only comes with 4 str though =P brawlers get the advantage from the innate stats lol. Does anyone know the "hell levels" of a slinger (besides first two jobs P or is it generally quick with jr. newtie sniping. ..hmm if jr. newtie sniping is really that fast I think I might just stick with a 100% or better bathrobe and get the 110 overall prescrolled would that be expensive considering it needs the dragon etc's? (compared to the 100 overall..) Sorry if that was confusing LOL jumped around a bit ^_^

Scroll them for int so you can use good attack wands.

Personally, I would scroll with DEX 100% all the way through since it is very hard for gunslingers to be low STR. Very cheap to do it this way. I would suggest to skip Green Plasteer (50) since it only comes with extra 1 avoid and 10 w.def compares to Red Barbay (40)
GeoTang : Does anyone know the "hell levels" of a slinger (besides first two jobs P or is it generally quick with jr. newtie sniping.
We start to shine in third job, so I only can think of first 2 jobs being hell levels. Maybe a high level outlaw/corsair can answer your question?
architect3sm : The Green Plasteer (level 50) comes with 4-6(?) base DEX, which still is, admittedly, a very small bonus.
Green Plasteer comes with 4 STR and 1 Avoid. No DEX. I used 100% DEX'd Pirate overalls 'til lvl 6x. Then I bought an 18 STR bathrobe.
They have to add more dex to use their weapon. But a slinger would have to add less str to use their gun.
There arent any "hell levels" as much as people emphasis. 30-70 Is insanely easy now with cpq/cpq2. The only part about leveling that might be considered "hell" is having to hold down one button for hours on end to train, but it is good experience.
