Am I wrong/being irrational? (BF issues)

My boyfriend and I have been going out since November and it's obvious he would never cheat on me. He says he's in love with me and he drives 2 hours every week just to spend a few hours with me. I have him added on Facebook and he has added a few of my friends. One of my friends, Jess, is beautiful. I admit that. But he brings it up too. He says things like "I hate going on your Facebook because I see Jess's photo and her eyes are so distracting. They're so sexy". I mean, she is my best friend and I agree but is this something you say to your girlfriend? This isn't the first time he has brought up other girls. He told me his old conception of a "dream girl" and he constantly talks about other beautiful females. I am upset over this. So much that I don't know what to say. Is this something that I shouldn't be upset over?

Heh, I feel jealous when my girlfriend says how much she loves John Keats poetry. It's not unnatural for you to get these feelings. But this seems slightly excessive, when I see other attractive girls i don't go calling them sexy and what not. I'd tell him how it makes you feel.

He might just be playing around. I hated it when my ex kept on over-analyzing things. It's a real turnoff. One of the reasons why I broke up with her 5 days before Valentine's Day. No hope for me now though, she's told all her friends about what a "jerk" I am. Don't do it. ^

being in a relationship means, trust. You have to have faith in him or else its not a healthy relationship. I mean sure, If i had a girlfriend, I would still say that some others are "hot" or "attractive" but it wouldn't mean that I like them more than my girlfriend. There is one thing true about men, the day that we stop looking will be the day we die. like you said, he drives 2 hours to meet you for christsake. Cut the man some slack, he obviously has enormous feelings for you, don't keep him on such a tight leash, leave room for growth. You must respect him and have faith in him or else both of you will not progress.

My bf and I have been together for 5 years. At this point we are comfortable and secure enough with each other that we can talk about things like this. I have no problem with him telling me he saw a Hot girl, because I KNOW he's never going to act on it. And even though I on occasion feel less than beautiful, I know hat in his eyes, I'm exactly that. I say just be open and honest, let him know you don't mind if he says something here and there but that constant mentioning of other girls (Especially people you know) hurts. Hopefully he will care enough to take this into consideration.
