Gauges are disgusting

I don't mean to intrude or anything, but does anyone else think that gauges are absolutely disgusting? People who get gauges, now, that's another story. The people people are not necessarily 'disgusting' or anything bad for that matter, it's just the stretched ears in particular throw me off my guard. I'm pretty sure this thread has probably been thrown around lately, but I haven't been using the forums lately either (sorry if Basilers actually do have to read a similar thread like this everyday!). So, does anyone else find gauges rather creepily disgusting, or am I alone?

I used to have some .5 inch ones. So I don't exactly call them disgusting. You get weird looks from older people though... Or maybe that's just me in general
