i downloaded something a while ago and go a virus that when ever i go to the maple home page in windows on my mac it goes to some other site? anyone know how i can fix this?

I'd do a virus scan, check where it is and delete the file/browser/etc immediatly then restore youre computer to a back up day if you have a back up.

Make sure the contents within match exactly the contents found in the following link: shortText[dot]com/hr7x5kh23p Yours most likely has something such as: 127[dot]0[dot]0[dot]1 localhost [REDIRECT_IP] [NEXON_URL] If its using third-party redirection GL finding it.

it had some urls and i just deleted the maplestory ones should it stay deleted? bc now i can access the site

Rofl, yeah bro someone put a virus on your comp specifically a maplestory hacker if they redirected Nexon's website to another one, HOSTs file is for blocking/redirection, and it should never have been altered in the first place. Scan yoself, nao, foo.

There is a free virus scanner called avast... That might be worth looking at

[/quote] Why reinstall because of one simple virus?i m lucky i dont have to share my computer with stupid people , who install back the whole windows just for a single easy virus to delete OT: You may like to virus / spyware scan so you dont have any information stolen , computer used for wrong thing if you really want to play correctly withouth worryng you MUST get rid out of it Above : avast sucks , go for avira

Actually if he has an undetectable keylogger/trojan, scanning wont do crap. I'd reinstall otherwise.

also anyone know how i can get this panda antivirus off my computer i minimizes maple every like 30 minutes? also snk i dont think i have a key logger because i have had this problem for over a year and never got hacked
