hey guys, basically, ive had the benefit of having nx and owning a pet with auto pot, both hp and mp. im pretty used to just killing monsters, leaving my pet to worry about potting as i get hit. now i wanna play my aran a little bit, and seeing nx inventories are diffrent, i worry ill die a lot due to my pet absence. ive seen that arans have this skill called drain that basically leave them without using pots for hours. im a lvl 36 aran and never experienced it yet, and was wondering if a pet is really needed for an aran. PS. i know pets with auto pot is not needed for any class, but in my case, i NEED it. thanks

Depending on your lvl, you probably will need auto pot. If you trained at skeles like i currently do, if you get hit once and lag right after, you will most likely die. Its nice to have auto pot incase u lag a sec or forget to pot. Better to be safe then sorry

once u get to higher lvl and deal more damage (with maxed drain) u regain more hp . so u wont need a pet with autopot

when you get used to auto pot it will feel like you can't survive without it, Just take some pratice with manual potting and you will be fine.

It really depends on character control. There are plenty of people in MapleStory who play without a pet repotting them and are perfectly fine.

ive gotten to as close as 25-100 hp every time i go to pypq and i never die unless im having a lag sooo bad my computer automatically logs out. This is cuz i have never had an auto pot despite playing for a year and i think i can boss w/o auto pot You get used to it and you do not need it eventually after like 2 weeks

pets for arans are more useful for picking up items as picking them up takes time and combo

At my Aran's current level (57), Combo Drain really cuts back on potions. As for worrying about death, I've always noticed that if you're attacking at any time (on pretty much any character), you can still down a potion. Since you only really need one attack key as an Aran, it's not too difficult to reach over and tap a potion key while comboing with your Pole Arm. In all honesty, if I was to have a pet, I'd rather it pick items up for me so I can keep moving and attacking constantly than potting for me.
