Is AP Biology hard?

I'm signing up for my 10th grade classes next school year and I've chosen to take AP Biology. Can anybody who has taken it explain the difficulty of the class or give some insight about the class. Just curious to know what I'm getting myself into. Thank you.

At my school, it was a TON of homework. The class wasn't so hard content-wise, but the homework? Oh God. But then again, I was a freshman when I took that class.

Also, if you're the kind of kid who gets straight A's without trying, then this class will kick you in the butt. =(

No, I took it. Never studied, but I did usually pay attention in class and got a 5. Then again, Biology is easy for me (Majoring in Bio now). It pretty much depends on your state, school, science department, and teacher. It can be heaven or hell.

Dammit, all basilers seem to be in some kind of AP, or IB program.....D: My stupid school only offers academic > /university (and applied> college/workplace ) level courses. I'm so smart too, lol, I sort of regret not going into IB in gr.9 - if I can't get into the university programs I want I don't know what I'll do with myself. But at that age I didn't really think that far ahead.
