Hi. Today, in Mardia. Someone was making fun of my love for Clerics. This boy was really mean and he expel me from the party during a KPQ. He says that Clerics suck and that Fire/Poison mages are better because they can train faster. So, I was hoping if you guys can help me decide what job to be since many are telling me things that Clerics suck because of the new exp formula. Please vote and specify what type of Fire/Poison or Ice/Lightning. Also, please explain your votes and reasons. Please save the Clerics! Please and thank you! Edit: ...Since someone is criticizing me...just vote what job you think would be better than a Cleric...and forget that I like Clerics... In addition, take notice of the balance patch and that I have +54 Int in Equips.

Go with what you want to play. If you love clerics, that's perfectly fine. Don't listen to that 5 year old boy...

You wanted to be a cleric and then be a cleric. MapleStory being an RPG game is about having fun, not just about leveling, the leveling system is there for us to play with.

OT: Just fyi, everyone is going to vote Cleric because you posed bias in your question by giving it context (simple Statistics fallacy). But anyways, everyone is right, go with what you love to play, and if that's a Cleric, then by all means go for it. This game is about having fun, and if you find that the exp ratio gets in the way of that later, then you should switch to another class

Okay, first of all, clerics don't "suck". They get to heal and be very supportive to parties. And the new exp formula didn't change much. You just have to max Shining Ray instead of Holy Symbol to go to Galloperas earlier and the exp rate is just slightly slower from what you get at himes. So tell that guy to shut up and get his facts straighten' out. Clerics/Priests/Bishops are more welcomed in parties. Anyways, since you love being a cleric, don't quit.
