To all 4th job arans, do you use Tempest alot in training?

Title explains it, I tend to use tempest a lot when I'm in skeles, and it speeds up training by like a few %, but in your opinion, is tempest a good training tool?

wow jiggly dont talk nooby yes tempest is a powerfool tool it goes well with bosses at higher lvls and as for training there isnt to many classes that can 1 hit a CoG i mean 1 hit ko at temple of time is just godly when your only lvl 12x lmao arans are tank and i love it some ppl just dont have what it takes to comprehend

No, its worthless. Fenrir does the job just fine, and going around rewhacking everything just wastes time. Waste of a point imo.

fenris dosent do the job fine if its multiple platforms... but then agian. tempest could scrw you over too. soooo 50/50

Oh well I think I like tempest cause its nice to see 85k dmg on skeles :P and its increases exp per hour by a little EDIT: @chakatstarlight how could tempest screw you over exactly?

It really doesn't increase EXP/hr at all. At lv1 you only have 10 seconds to kill all the monsters, which is probably like what? A row at skeles? When with Peril you could automatically kill a whole row in one attack anyway..

I have yet to and willl hold off on getting tempest. It seems uselss at this point there are alot better things to put my points into.

For me it did, without tempest at all I get 20-22%/h at skeles, with tempest I get 30%/h at skeles solo. I usually tempest at like the 3rd row and tehn just combat step through the 3rd row and most of the 4th row.

Interesting, there's usually a person of another class who comments. It's all 4th job arans and a couple aran in memories (me :o)

Tempest is amazing, even at lv 1 it's one of the greatest skills. And it does increase the exp/hr greatly ESPECIALLY at Road to Oblivion 4-5, at the speed a Aran builds combo there then able to auto kill. When I train at Road to Oblivion 4 soloing, I always have around 300 combo when I get to the bottom, I get to the center of the mob, use Tempest, cast Drain right after with the combo gathered from tempest 1 hit them and go back up, that speeds up things greatly. @ Aufe, 10 seconds is PLENTY of time. o_o Tempest doesn't have such a wide range that you can't reach any mob. Further more, Tempest becomes an Aran's best friend at Zakum arms, I've done a NL and Aran duo arm run, ya know that? It ended with me killing about 60% total of all arms, and the NL is 3 lvs higher then me and more well funded. Now Tempest does have it's areas where it's useless, 1 v 1 on boss's your much better off keeping your combo up, if I was avoiding stuns only reason I'd cast tempest is right when he summons use tempest, cast Combo Drain right after. Skeles is another map I find it useless in of course, despite I STILL have no problem with that 10 second time, Skele I kill in 1~2 hits anyway with 100 combo so I save it till very last moment to cast Drain. (And before someone says to just cast drain instead of tempest, Combo Barrier replaces Drain at 200 combo)
