Heroes VS Pallys

Im talking about after the balance patch. I wanted to make a hero, cuz of their insane attacking speed (btw im going 1-h) and their damage. But i heard that Pallys are gonna have really good damage after the balance patch Which one should i use?

If you were going to make hero before the balance patch why make a paladin now? If you had a mindset on a hero before the patch you would like a hero more then a Paladin

You should choose according to gameplay, not to trends. If you are choosing based on public perceptions of a job's "damage" you really don't deserve to play that job, and would most likely not enjoy it anyway. Besides, Paladins aren't built to put out big-looking figures (except with Blast on elemental weakness), they're built to be great big-mobbers which is a less visible (but arguably more effective) form of damage. Additionally, I thought you should know Heroes don't really have "insane" attacking speed. Brandish is only about 89 att/min with a Ribgol/NRW/most 1h swords or 97-98 with a Red Katana. ACB is about 92 and 100 respectively. In 3rd job they have the exact same attacking rates, contingent upon whether or not you get FA with each.

Paladins have a bigger advantage over Heroes against mobs (other than mob size 2-3) than they do against single targets, which would only be expanded with the patch. Also, Paladins' one-on-one figures are contingent upon the patch actually arriving and having the hyped effect (and I ask you, since when has anybody's estimate of an upcoming patch ever been right?). Currently the one-on-one is that Paladins are stronger only when it's a fire, lightning or holy weak opponent.

Azntuan, keep your comments to yourself please. Truthfully speaking, Heroes only shine at bossing. Other than that, they don't rein any power over other classes significantly. Sure damage is nice, -for their level- but after that things tend to even out. Sadly Paladins don't generate pretty numbers like Heroes. Boohoo, we only get a red bar that turns yellow over the course of a full second. Do you think we should run home crying now? Hehe.

What about Heroes VS Heroes? or Pallies VS Pallies? Why does a Warrior have to be compared to a completely different warrior when you're looking for best at everything? Heroes are great at mobs of 2-3 and Paladins are great at mobs of 1 or 6, one has orbs rotating around and the other has elemental attacks. If you only care about damage just make a lolcorsair or dexless sin.
