Lvl 200 mages?

How come bowmen and magicians have been out for the same time and there are almost 15 times as many Lvl 200 mages than archers?

IDK Really. Maybe people prefer Mages. They might also lvl up faster(F/P Wizard) but im not sure :P

Have you ever tried training a fourth job player? I know Mages that get 5x the EXP that I do when they train, and they're my level or higher. Mages are just way too easy to level. Not saying that level 200 isn't still an accomplishment, because it is.

Mage or not, level 200 is still crazy training for way too many hours IMO.

well Mages were built to be fast to level up at the cost of not bossing good (or so everyone tells me) really i think its because mages have ulitmates that can kill a large number with only 1-3 hits (depends on the monste and char of course)

Play a 4th job mage, then play a 4th job other character. Then you will find enlightenment.

Back in 2005 when there were only 1st and 2nd job people perferd mages since they do the highest damage in 1st job then in Oct. 2005 there was an event since there were few little clerics Nexon made an event that gave Clerics (or anything that can kill the dead fast) an advantage thus making more cleric population Then in Dec 2005 when 3rd job came out people loved DK the most, so people joined the bagwagon to make a DK, but those who already had a Wizard//Cleric liked the mobbing skill they got (me personally got TOO exited for ice strike!) Sure we were not the best in that time and DK were in but we still hold the best population since well past events Then came 4th job on Jan 2008! Mages got a full screen atk! Thus making once again Mage back on top! But also look at this MapleStory is an MMORPG: Fantasy game. In real life I can pick up a stick with a string any time and become a bowman, pick up a knife and become a bandit, get ninja stars from my local China Town store and become an assassin, pick up a stick, a sword, plastic or real and become a warrior. I can start punching people i am a brawler, i can go to my local gang area and get a gun and i am a gunner. In real life we can not became a Wizard or a Cleric. I can be a wannabe magician and do magic tricks or become a cook that is about it. This is why mages are popular because of the MMO part of the game

This is the main reason why anyone becomes a magician in a game -- they want to control that mystical power because they know they can't do it in real life.

If according to someone, bishops train 5x as fast as mele, then take out hs and you have 4.5x. That's still crazy fast. Don't try to compare arch mages to mele classes please.

My point is that arch mages are few and far between bishops.

[/quote] really? maybe not in MS; however, in real life I skipped two grades and still get straight A's, I also have a 160 IQ , I can read 163 pages in 20 minutes, Memorized the constitution, pi, I can even do 100x100 digit multiplication, speak 12 languages, and play 14 instruments for your information... btw, thanks guys I think I understand why all Glacians are mages now...

Because a mage can get 140 mil exp per hour, and an archer can barely get half of that.
