Hang out with your true friends, hang out with your family...contrary to what most people do when they get dumped/rejected, I think the best way to get over ONE person is by hanging around MANY. Because those people, whether they realize it or not, will make you feel that there isn't a need to devote your emotions and mental state to just ONE person
Rude : yep time just one word time
Time alone won't do anything. For me, I found the best way was talking about it with someone you trust, preferably someone who doesn't know that person. It's been almost half a year since then. While I haven't forgotten about it, I've felt a lot better.

Djv9016Well...Video games and school. If not school, then anime or something that distracts you. Whenever you think of her, you just focus on something else. Soon it becomes 2nd nature and you'll be fine. Time heals all wounds.

I hate breakups, listen to some tunes man, or if your the kind of person that can easily rebound from a relationship then go find another one. It's been a year since mine and I still think about her...yeah I suck lol. Best of luck to you though.

FreeWillzyxMuch like a hangover, this takes time. I mean, you could do all these progressive things like write in a diary, scream, or talk a lot about your problems to your friends. But that takes a lot of effort. Why waste all that effort? Being lazy is key. Especially if doing all those progressive things ends up backfiring.

Depends on how much I felt for said girl My last break up (felt strongly about the girl, girl n a friend...behind my back...) I went through different phases 1. Denial, just couldn't get around the fact that she would do this to me for that loser (his like a real girl...) 2. Was really pissed and just felt like beat his face in 3. Got wasted like hell with my other friends 4. Stopped hanging out as much/ went into isolation 5. grew a beard 6.Acceptance ( I didn't feel anything toward either of them and well if I'm heaven then their dirt) 7. Got my ego back and went back out into the world

When my gf(ex at the time) left me I just accepted it and removed every bit of memory that reminded me of her. And then from there I just lived my days enjoying my life doing things that I enjoyed without having her around. And after a few weeks I was able to move on easily.
Except3 : I just can't do it... All the memories, all the times we spent together. I can't let that go like that..
I've been through that. The time you waste thinking about it though isn't worth it. Sure, it's great to forget with distractions. Sure, it's even better to let it all out. Or, how unfavorable it may be, is finding meaning somewhere else. Keep pushing forward in life is the first thing you should do. Although it won't solve your problems, at least your life won't be a mess, no matter how much you say it is. You won't forget over time, but the feeling will gradually disappear. Kinda scary, because you don't know if it's the right or wrong thing to do. Think about what the other is thinking. You can't interpret it specifically (although talking with others does help), and you may over think some things. Don't get your hopes up, although keep to the optimistic side if it makes you feel better. The best thing, while it's dependent on experiences, is to not lose the friend. It's better to grow up (as in, you don't need this re-----), unless you're one of those type of people who constantly look for relationships (if to succumb the feeling or otherwise). You don't just let go, you learn to let go, and only if you are willing. There's something better out there just waiting, and it won't come to you unless you keep on living life. And just to quote, "Music is L I F E"
