Why are so many people drawn to maplestory? Please help me figure out.

The key is to keep a balanced intellectual diet. It's ok to indulge in a bit of mindless lulz so long as you balance it out with something more healthy.

It's true, even glimpsing a screen with a video game on it will destroy your ability to think using logical reasoning. Playing longer than 10 minutes will result in mental retardation. Past an hour you should be dead, which is why people who play longer than an hour are labelled "zombies" due to the fact they are still "alive" but actually dead. It gets really addicting ... but TONS of people have quit because of the atmosphere of the most rude and unpleasant people. Only like 10% of Maplestory's population is actually nice and generous ... unlike the other 90% who ks and scam and ignore people.

When it comes to normal games, players are only so interested (if interested at all) in achieving these goals. They simply proceed through the game to experience the entertaining play while reaching these goals. Compare your desire to have rupees from a legend of Zelda game, to mesos. You want mesos more, don�t you? Why do mesos have more value than rupees? Well, the two main factors of value are community, and labor. Community: A factor only really present in video games when it comes to MMOs. Think of it this way�If you have seventy million dollars, and there are hundreds of others who would kill to have that seventy million dollars, are you rich? Yes. If you have seventy million dollars, and are the only person present on earth, are you rich? No. If you have a 12 att PAC, and there are hundreds of others who would kill to have a 12 att PAC, are you pro? Yes. If you have a 12 att PAC, and are the only person playing maplestory, are you pro? No. Labor: The value of something is determined by the amount of labor required to achieve a said goal. Why is it a known stereotype that people who play pizza servers quit maplestory entirely after a few months? Its because the amount of labor required to achieve the goals that drive the maple community, such as equipment and level, are ridiculously easy to achieve in these servers. If you have an item that requires nothing to obtain but the click of a mouse, are you a successful person? No. If you have an item that took you years of hard work and sweat to obtain, are you a successful person? Yes. Who decided that USD is worth more than mesos anyway? I say, if you have fun working for something like in a video game, and acquire something of actual value in return like in the �real world�. not only are you doing something totally awesome, your having your cake and eating it too!
