Mm, it's for a few quests. That's all. Same with Fairy Wings, Blackbull's Deed to the Land, Burning Feather, Ancient Scroll. I like those items. Very rare, only used for special quests.

You need the "Piece of Ice" for the "Revive the Heroes Gladius" quest. It has nothing to do with 4th job skill quests.
